What food items would you like to see added to the parks menu?

Top 3 CP specific wishes:

1. Miss Keats converts back to Mexican. Specialty tacos, burrito and bowl on meal plan

2. Breakfast location with the new style serving method like backbeat. I think it would be VERY popular.

3. Bring back foldovers, could easily include those at Stockade or Roundup

CP Coaster Top 10: 1. Steel Vengeance (37 rides to date) 2. Top Thrill Dragster (190 launches to date, 4 rollbacks) 3. Raptor 4. Millennium Force 5. Maverick 6. GateKeeper 7. Valravn 8. Rougarou 9. Magnum XL 200 10. Gemini

Breakfast is so high margin it could be worth a shot. They wouldn’t even need a new restaurant, just open one side of one of the new dual line places (backbeat, Hugo’s , etc) till noon then covert back over to lunch after. Backbeat gets a lot of resort traffic going back and forth from early entry , and I could see them slinging a lot of $5 basic coffees and $12 brisket bagel sandwiches to those on the run.

James Parker, I agree: bring back the foldovers.

I agree the park could use a good taco joint. I do enjoy barbeque, but it's kind of overdone at this point. Same with burgers and chicken tenders. I'm not sure if Miss Keats would be the best location, but a concept like Stan's Tacos in West Michigan would do well along the beach I think - maybe a candidate as an additional restaurant at Breakers or a replacement for Fridays. The waterpark could really use another option too. Maybe add some facilities over by the swim up bar to serve some food out that way.

I like the idea of using Backbeat for breakfast in the morning too. Seems like it could do well among people coming in from the resorts that didn't want to get up at the crack of dawn to go to Perkins.

Also sad the foldovers are gone. Tried the power bowl salad (or something like that) from Wild Turnip and personally thought it was gross. Looked colorful and healthy, but I didn't care for it.

The foldovers were good, but we’re still mostly a ton of bread with a tad of protein. One of my boys loved them.

The wife is excited for Wild Turnip when she joins us for our stay in a couple of weeks. She likes rabbit food.

Does the Perkins really have the capacity for 600+ hotel rooms? Not interested in waiting 45 minutes for a table to start the day. What other breakfast options are there for Breakers guests?

For your wife's sake, I hope the Wild Turnip is still open when you go in a couple weeks. It seems to be one of the first locations to get the ax in the shoulder seasons.

There's a Starbucks in Breakers for coffee, but they don't have much in the way of food. There's also a store that you could probably buy some packaged doughnuts or maybe overpriced cereal, but there's really not that much. We usually bring our own - either frozen breakfast burritos that we microwave or just something packaged like doughnuts or muffins. We've done Perkins on like a rainy morning where going into the park isn't going to be much fun. It seems to not really be that busy most days honestly. They'd probably do better to put a breakfast option in the park rather than another in Breakers since the audience would be much bigger.

Breakers is better than it used to be as far as having food and bar open later at night, but it's still lacks a bit as far as night life. Fridays just seems like it was the safe choice in the late 90's or early 2000's, but there has to be something more interesting to put there.

As has been suggested, Backbeat would be a good spot to serve breakfast since it's right inside the resort gate. I think another spot up front would also be great for those who enter through the main gate. A spot like French Quarter or Hugo's would be ideal since it's right before the early entry checkpoint. Those without EE access can eat their breakfast while they wait for the park to fully open. Maybe they could even offer something like a single day ticket with a breakfast add-on. Last time I was at the park, FQ wasn't even open until afternoon anyway so they could easily use that for breakfast in the morning and then in the afternoon, they would just serve their normal items. It would be nice to have something available when the park first opens since sometimes I have a difficult time using both my meal plan meals some days, especially if it's a day with shorter operating hours.

Great point Brian and just think of all the $12 breakfast sandwiches they could sell right out on the midway starting before EE to everyone who skipped breakfast rushing to the park. (Not on the meal plan. Bwaahahahahaha) Use the app to order ahead and the tollbooth attendant will hand you the order as you drive-thru.

The thing missing from our yearly trip is a really good burger. Sure, there are burgers available, but they're cheap and not very good. Would love to see a specialty burger place. In similar vein as the Mac Shack

Burgers at Famous Dave's and Fridays aren't too bad. Not on the meal plan though.

In the park, I was happy with the burger at Stockade - I think it was called the Blackjack Burger - but it was just a frozen patty and a crappy bun with some tasty toppings that made it okay. I've never cared for Coasters or Johnny Rockets though. Struggling to think of any other burger offerings at the moment.

The chicken tenders have been sub par for years, and then they reinvented the Corral which has certainly been an upgrade. I think next season they should do the same with a burger. Maybe they can improve Coasters Drive-In. I haven't gone there in quite some time because their burger was mediocre at best

I feel like the "hand breaded" chicken tenders at the Corral are anything but, and are just as bleh and mass produced food service tasting as they were years ago.

I thought they were better than other tenders across the park, at say the Round-Up

I had Corral 3 weeks ago it was hot, fresh and great. I'm at the park today and had it again earlier. It was lukewarm, mass produced bleh. So you are both correct.

I would like to see a place that serves breakfast type food in the park. It could have something like waffles, pancakes, donuts, muffins, etc. That would be a nice addition to the park since most hotels stopped serving breakfast. And then I could use my first meal on my plan when I first get there and that could hold me over until later in the day to use my second meal.

Why not a pancake house and serves all day? They could have a gluten free option and vegan bacon and sausage as well.

Revamping Coasters seems like a great idea. Maybe a build your own burger bar - not really do it yourself, but just pick your bun, meat (standard beef, chicken, or impossible), and toppings along with a beer garden type seating area with some shade structures on each side.

While I like Backbeatcue and The Corral just fine, I really wish there was indoor seating available for them. Or expand indoor seating in Coasters. If Miss Keats is closed and the weather is meh and I'm back in the Gemini half of the park it's quite the hike to indoor seating, especially when Coasters is full.

^^100% this. Coasters is in such a prime location, right in the center of the park. I haven't eaten there in years because I've felt the food has always been generic at best, and have never heard any inklings that it has improved. I'd love to see this become a better option, and also improve the aesthetics of the seating area. A shaded beer garden would be fantastic.

^^^ agree. Coasters would be great if expanded and fully utilize the north and south outside eating areas (shade shade shade). when I would go for a burger in the front half of the park, Coasters was my 3rd choice, 2nd was Johnny Rockets, 1st was Pinks as you could watch them fry up the burger. If I got a hot dog somewhere, I would pop in Coasters' side north door and get pickles, tomato, or cucumber slices to add to the dog.

I like that idea. It's almost like going to Sheetz gas stations. Well I can't speak for everyone here because not everyone has a Sheetz nearby them.
