What food items would you like to see added to the parks menu?

ONLY if it is not located inside the park, a location in new the Breakers wing or along the beach would be great. The $1-3 per item upcharge like Perkins or Famous Dave's would be fine.

But They already serve Melted Cheese for $16 in the park and it comes with giant toothpicks.

I was actually thinking Breakers would be a good location for a Melt. Maybe replace the Friday's. The place has a good bar.

That TGIFridays is insanely busy, I Can't see them replacing that with an unknown Restaurant to people from out of Ohio.

New management understands the power of brands, they ditched the CP in park pizza delivery service (CP Big Daddy's) for Dominoes this year and I have never seen so many deliveries in the resorts as this year.
Starbucks, Perkins, C&Ps, QSL all have widely recognized names and people know what to expect.

I'm all for them getting quality local flavor in the park, but they can't do it at the cost of removing a known restaurant that people are comfortable going to in groups.

Chick-fil-a.

Contract-re-negotiations

No chain is going to bend over and take it just cause CF demands terms, it has to work for both parties.

Speaking of the chick fil a location, I've never seen it so empty in years. There used to be a line out that everyday. (Except Sunday of course. )

When I go out of town, I actually prefer to eat somewhere unique to the area or something I can't get at home. Putting in a Melt would be a good opportunity to give it exposure to non-locals.

Speaking of Domino's pizza... We ordered from them after CoasterMania! for delivery to Sandcastle Suites. Didn't know it was affiliated with Cedar Point until they told us our large pepperoni pizza, cookie/brownie thing, and 2 liter of Coke would be $43 delivered... But being dead tired and starving at 1am after 15 hours of coasters our options were pretty limited!

I know this means nothing, but Tony tweeted about a Melt going to CP or would like to and Melt responded back. That would be a perfect restaurant to go into the park. I like the one new one that just opened in Fairlawn.

I'm sure Matt would be interested, but he seems to pace his expansion to make sure the stores live up to his expectations. The seasonal nature of the on-Point stores may be a deal breaker.

It's too bad they gave Castaway to QSL.

I was skeptical about QS&L (had a sub par experience at another location), but that place is great. We eat there every visit, and it has yet to disappoint.

That is the only negative comment I can make about my trip to breakers a few weeks ago. Dominos is horrible food. I can't believe people are able that crap.

We need something that offers some more upscale items.

TGIF does kinda good in this department, but pasta or a 24 dollar steak is ok, but it's typical American food. I'd love to see a bistro style sit down with better items. Fresh lake walleye, perch, etc. Maybe some lobster tails, etc. The only thing I see against that is the cost being one, and two offering non regular typical American fare may not be what most customers want.

However, fresh walleye, salmon, etc. with some great sides and a lake view and I'd be a happy man.

Man, if only there were someplace like that at Cedar Point...

Being honest, I ate there once, and didn't like it. It didn't seem upscale to me, whatsoever.

I ordered the Cajun shrimp alfredo...

O'Charleys version was better.

Do you honestly think anything more upscale than that would make sense (or money) at CP? It would be illogical to have something more upscale at a place where people are wearing tank tops and sneakers.

And considering their generally positive reviews, maybe you should give them another try. It sounds like your experience was not the norm.

I see a lot of people looking for a fine dining experience on point all of the time. Yes, tank tops and basketball shorts while in the park, but like at any resort, many bring nice clothes for a nice dinner with the family and/or significant other.

With that said, I too recommend thedevariouseffect tries Bay Harbor again. I've never had any complaints there

I think it could bring in money, not entirely sure. However, upsells/premium offerings is something the chain is working with, see Beer & BBQ, clam bakes, etc.

I actually wanted to give it a try last visit, but they were packed while TGIF had a zero wait for a table, so didn't get to retry. I may try later this season when I head in, if not it's on the agenda for next year. I mean the Fish Tacos were actually pretty damn good, not worth the cost to me, but they were on point...in more than one way ;)

I'd love to have a place on point to maybe head with the girlfriend to grab a bottle of wine, enjoy a bit of food, and relax for an evening. Currently we head down to Zinc in Sandusky for that, one of my favorite local places while I'm there.

You're not going to find a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse experience at an amusement park.

I've never been disappointed with Bay Harbor, and my first experience with the place was in the 70s.

Melt would be the best thing ever. It would be a huge challenge to do the kind of volume they would need at CP, but it would be the best food ever served at Cedar Point. I would hope, however, that CP could relax their grooming guidelines, because part of the atmosphere of Melt is definitely the piercings and tattoos.

I think you're wildly overestimating the demand for something more upscale than Bay Harbor. It fills the niche for folks who want a nice, non-microwaved sit down dinner. And looking at the existing prices at Bay Harbor, anything more upscale would price itself right out of the park's and Marina's market.

I'd love to see Melt, the gourmet grilled cheese market is awesome. Never thought those words would be put together ever, but they do. The best one is Lockview across from Lock 3 in Akron, fantastic cheap little place with one hell of a menu. I would like to see things like that happen in the park aside from the usual fried this/that and chicken w/ this or that ya know?

I wonder if Melt tattoos get you free food if the CP one does come to fruition though :P

I'll give Bay Harbor another chance, given what people say. But between the decor, price, and being that we thought it was a tad bland we kinda kept it akin to a wannabe fancy but really not experience. I'd love to try some of the dishes but I'll admit I'm still slightly skeptical, but def worth another shot.

On another note, if you like nice red juicy steaks. TGIF is fantastic in that department. Roomate ordered steak & ribs there last visit. That thing was the most delicious medium rare steak/almost rare I've ever seen from a TGIF. That sear was literally perfect. I was kinda pissed I ordered a burger & bar pretzels honestly.
