There isn't a single ride at Cedar Point that scares me to the point that I won't ride it. However, there are the spinning ones that make me sick, I'm not afraid to ride them, I just know that if I do I will feel sick for the rest of the day. Cedar Point could build a roller coaster that is 800 feet tall and goes 500mph and I would say hell ya. People say they are afraid of Dragster (not necessarily on this post) but really there is nothing to be afraid. The heights part doesn't matter because you're up at 420' for what? 2 seconds? The ride is so quick that there isn't enough time to be afraid.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
I've been on pretty much every ride at CP and there isn't anything I'm afraid to ride. I don't like getting soaked, so Snake and Thunder Canyon are the rides I steer clear from.
The only coaster I don't like to ride is Mantis. I used to love it when it first opened. But now, I really don't like riding it. For me it is uncomfortable and like other people have said, it isn't worth the wait.
Giant Wheel [even though I'll go on the Sky Ride], just makes me feel like I'm about to die.
Corkscrew, Mantis, Mean Streak [ugh]
Space Shot side of Power Tower [lame as hell]
I'll pretty much ride anything else, mainly since quite a few of the flat rides, I've skipped over so far [in my three days at the Point to date].
The only thrill ride I will not ride is Corkscrew. I dont like the abuse of the OTSH. I the OTSH much more abusive on Corkscrew than Mantis. Then again MANtis can be a different kind of pain. I will not ride the water rides. I don't like walking around wet...however I do enjoy some of the scenery from the water rides...lol.
It has seemed to get rougher this past year. I love Millenium, mostly because it is such a smooth ride. I am trying to diet so I can once again ride it. They did something to those seat belts altho they say they haven't. I have no trouble with the others and they say they are all the same.BS in my opinion..lol
I refuse to grow old !
I went to Cedar Point in 2000, and rode Millennium Force with no problems. Then just last season, I couldn't ride MF or TTD. I could ride Raptor, WT, Mantis, Mean Streak, Blue Streak, Magnum etc.
I had a 48" waste, and in January I started dieting, and I am now at a 40" waste. I still have two months to get down to 36-38".
October 13 - Finally!
Top Thrill Dragster - 15
Millennium Force - 15
It all depends on your stomach. I can ride any roller coaster without getting sick but throw me on something like Witches Wheel and I will barf like crazy. maXair isn't much of a spinning ride, its more of a swaying motion like Ocean Motion.
Steve, I loke the Rollercoaster Tycoon reference, some of them look hilarious when they are sick.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
I try to avoid Corkscrew as much as I can because there is very little leg room, I feel like I'm sitting in a card board box. The OTRS are painful because everytime I get out of the train they are so close that I either hit my head or my eye on the restraint. I don't know if that's clumbsyness of me or what. I managed to pop one of my lenses getting out of Corkscrew. The crew was cool though, they asked me if I wanted some ice, but I didn't hurt myself too bad to need it. I'll ride Mantis anyday compared to Corkscrew.
