What does CP need to fix up a bit?

^^I get what ya mean. Walking through that big empty space over to the Blue Streak is kind of lonely. I'm not sure how I would re-arrange things, but something's got to change. Maybe moving Calypso somewhere else and putting a ride there, if there's room. The only problems I see with Cedar Point (well, there are other problems, but...) are problems most people are pointing out already, a better distribution of people. The back (mainly Frontier T's) needs to attract more people; granted it's the back of the park and takes awhile for people to migrate back there. But a new ride would help out immensely.

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.

Relocate Calypso, and give us another Huss Giant in that area. Sure, Turnpike's track might need to be adjusted a bit... but, I sure would love to see a Giant TopSpin go in there.

Heres an idea!! Put the top spin in the BACK of the park. This helps with the new ride in the back/FT area and fix up calypso. Maybe moving Ocean Motion over into/near the pirate ride building could do soemthing. When I see it back on the Oceana/WT midway it seems kind of dead. Or drop the PR building, and put the "new flat" there. So many ideas...

Extending the rails in the Magnum station would help with the crazy cramped feeling and organize lines better.

Put the "classic" flats/rides back into "classic" feel or redo them all together. I mean don't the Sky Ride stations look better?

Iron Dragon NEEDS the darker color scheme. It just looks so much better.

Maybe make some of the older, rougher rides "smooth" again.

"Ive got the need, the need for speed!"

Love these suggestions--hope 'the powers that be' give serious thought to some.........misting stations/widening the Magnum area. I agree the pirate ride looks so forlorn. When I was a kid, the earthquake ride scared me more than Blue Streak!

Fluffy,I love all of your ideas, especially the smoothing out of the old coasters.I would really appreciate that.

I can't believe everyone wants to see Frontier Town livened up. What do you want, all the trees cut down and more concrete layed so the back of the park looks just like the front of the park without any theming? I love Frontier Town. It is the only place left on the Point where you can still cool off in the shade. (provided by the only trees left at the Point.)

Go right through for MSU!

What's this top spin everyone keeps talking about? Can someone help me out hear? Like some pictures or something. I don't know what the heck these are!!!

Improve the FT area anyway possible, I dont think MS gets enough props, even though its rough its still one of CP's best and if you were new to the park you might not ever find it they need signs back there directing you to it and another ride around it to attract more people back there......longer seatbelts for bigger people and maybe some AC on the space needle

See TombRaider at PKI for the Giant version, or Texas Twister at GL for the "standard" version.

My "wish list" for improvements...

-Do something in the "infield" of Mean Streak, where all those forever unused switchbacks are. A couple idea: The Huss giant Top Spin mentioned above, or maybe relocate Space Spiral there? The view sucks from Space Spiral now, 2/3 of it is parking lot view.

-Add a couple more sit down style restaurants, preferably in the back of the park. They could be themed to FrontierTown, and maybe do a "Dinner & a Show" kind of thing, think Medieval Times only Wild West style.

-PLEASE paint Millennium Force!

-Is the Pirate Ride building where Toxic Tunnel of Terror (don't remember what it was changed to) was during HalloWeekends? If so, maybe make that into a permanent walkthrough haunted house?

-Good call on sprucing up the area by Blue Streak. It looks so "alone" over there... I have no idea what to do there, though.

Of course there is so much more I think of every time I go to the Point "How cool would THIS be?" but I can't think of any right now...

ROUNDABOUND.

I don't know why everyone is so stuck on "doing something in the 'infield' of Mean Streak."

They will most likely (and I only say 'most likely' because only fools say always and never) never put ANYTHING inside the 'guts' of Mean Streak. You would never see it from the midway, nobody would know it was there. Construction would be a nightmare. Face it, it just isn't going to happen.

Especially a relocation of Space Spiral? Are you kidding me? The footers go some 70 feet into the ground... Don't quote me on that number... but it's some ridiculous number that would be laughed at - at the mention of the word 'relocate'.

Gravity, that's exactly what I said about putting a ride in Mean Streak, it's a bad idea. And on the topic of relocating Space Spiral, I don't see the point. Why relocate it to get a better view? It's like saying, "hey let's move the CN Tower, the city of Toronto has developed too much around it."

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

Well, as for nobody knowing the Space Spiral would be there inside Mean Streak, I say 2 things...

1- It would be hard to miss the thing, it's what, 250-300 ft tall?

2- Nobody seems to ride it anyway.

And yeah, putting anything in the middle of Mean Streak would be a b!tch to build. But, then again, how "easy" is it to build some of these things anyway? You could very easily, with a taller crane, lift parts from outside MS over the structure, and into the infield. I'm just throwing that out as an area of prime real estate that isn't being used, in a park that doesn't have an abundance of room to expand.

ROUNDABOUND.

I think the Blue Streak Midway needs a facelift. With the Pirate Ride being gone, this area is a ghost town. I can't remember the last time I waited longer than 5 minutes to ride Blue Streak. I would demolish the Pirate Ride building and the Turnpike cars and add a signature ride.

I also think Frontiertown needs an overhall....maybe even a new theme.

Quick, let's all keep throwing out the same ideas.

I like the Frontier Town theme and they should keep it, seeing as its the only themed area in the whole park.
A few things that they need to do to fix up the park:

1.Build a Huss Topple Tower where the old Swan Boats used to be.
2.Build a Huss Inverted Topspin in Frontier Town
3.Fix the helix at the end of Gemini, its such a extreme jerk in and out of the turn that your neck hurts after the ride.
4.Add something like a CocaCola Cool Zone which has Vending Machines and mist machines.
5.Add wheels to the bottom of Gemini's trains instead of just a piece of metal there.
6.Add a ride attendant to Magnum's station and TTD's station to distribute the people to each car(the same job as the worker at the front of the MF line)
7.Have the Chairlift open the whole day since its the quickest way to get to the middle of the park

Thats all thats wrong with the park, everything else is great and they already do an amazing job with it.

I like the idea of building a flat ride there, but relocating something that big is alot harder than just moving a ride like Chaos or Troika seeing as you have to dismantle and rebuild a 250ft tower. And they could use some of Mean Streak's queue for a new flat ride becuase there isnt usually much of a line. If you dont think there is enough room for a ride, look at this photo: http://www.themeparks.com/cp/images/meanstreak01.htm

The Toxic Tunnel of Terror haunted house is actually a different building located on the other side of Raptor right next to the park entrance. The old Pirtate Ride building is currently home to park services.

If it was possible, I'd like to see the picnic shelters relocated behind Oceana and Wicked Twister. I think sea side picnic area would be nice. A dark ride would fit in the former picnic foot print. I also would like to see the turnpike cars rerouted and cadiliac cars removed. That would free up some land for a flat or two next to cayplso. Pirate should be refubished in some way. I'd like to see a sign installed next to the Magnum enterance. Last it would be cool to add a spinning cup ride where the old merry go round use to be, located next to wave swinger.
