I've only seen pictures, but it looks fantastic. I've heard a lot of people say it's the best woodie they have been on.
JeremyG, I was actually commenting that Cedar Point needs a ride which is indoors which provides thrills. At the same rate, I think a Motion Simulator would be a good medium for the audience of CP. Although, as you say, Cedar Point will not install one of these because it's not a "real thrill", I would like to see something thrilling and indoors.

So the list changes:

2001 - B&M Floorless
2002 - Large GCI Woodie
2003 - Family Coaster and "something like" Days of Thunder @ PKI (Just something indoors that's thrilling)
2004 - Indoor looper, such as Flight of Fear @ PKI for rainy days!
2005 - Flying Coaster, or whatever new technology is out there. (ThrustAir 2000 would be awesome too!)
2006 - Expansion of Thunder Canyon area with two new water rides.
2007 - To be continued

Some comments on your list, net. Note that the following are my opinions and shouldn't be taken as fact.

1) You won't see a B&M floorless at CP any time soon. There is going to be one 1.5 hrs away. Somehow I think that B&M and Premier have an exclusive deal with this model.

2) A large woodie, yes. GCI, no. CCI, yes. CF is extremely pleased with Ghostrider. Expect something like that.

3) The rest of your list sounds like you want CP to get all of PKI's stuff. Is that sort of thinking allowed on this site? j/k :)

Premier does not have exclusive rights to the floorless coaster. They are building one at Sea World in Orlando.

Good call! Still, until I ride one in May, I'm not going to get that excited about them. The word "floorless" is tossed around like a new toy mostly by people who haven't been on the one and only operating floorless out there last year. Care to elaborate, Scott?

I want Americana's Screechin' Eagle...

I stand corrected. I knew I forgot about one of those things. My apologies.

Regarding the ride itself, it's a good experience. However, it's PURELY VISUAL. The sight of the rails and ties rushing by at 60mph just inches (in my case :)) from your feet is amazing. Regarding the forces, it feels like a large inverted (Raptor, Alpengeist) but with more airtime. Don't get me wrong, I really like this ride, but I can see chains like SF/Premier and Busch making these rides as common as the inverted.

Regarding CP getting one, remember that when Raptor was installed, the only parks with inverteds were SFGAm and SFGAdv, two parks not in direct competition with CP. CP got the jump on everybody by building the largest inverted at the time. With the floorless, SFO is building one from the second batch. They got the jump on everyone else in this case. If the popularity of the floorless continues, I could see other manufacturers going (stealing) the idea and developing their own, as with the inverted. When this happens, I could see CP building one.

What's up V!?! Glad to see you here on GTTP! I would like a B&M Floorless, but you already knew that. An Arrow Inverted Wild Mouse would be cool, also.

Thank you for riding the Raptor and enjoy your day here at Cedar Point, America's Rockin' Rollercoast!
so THAT explains why the wait for Batman dropped from 4 hours to walk-on within 3 years!!! hee hee..RAPTOR was born!!! no, seriously, i remember seeing ads for Raptor here in Chicago at the movies of all places. it was a liitle ad that ran with the trailers...and people watching it going "ooohhh".

"I think I scrambled my brain!!"
hey yall, i'm new to this, so wasup?
you were all wondering about what we want at cedar point in the next few years...well here goes, you wanted a B&M floorless mega looper? your gonna get it, the rumor is that in 2002 they're gonna put it up, 225+ feet with record 9 inversions. see back in '94 cedar point signed a 3 coaster contract with B&M which started with raptor and then mantis, a good bet is that this new one in 2002 will complete the contract. and knowing B&M it's gonna be unbelieveable. who knows what's going on with 2001, maybe a looping mouse or even a clone of ghostrider is possible. but let's not jump ahead, we're gonna have the greatest coaster in the world (arguably with magnum) and it's name is millenium force. later yall, write back.

There's the other thing I forgot to add to that been-discussed-to-death thread... the legendary contract.

B&M has no contract with Cedar Point. One doesn't sign long-term contracts to build multiple $10+ million rides. Furthermore, if it were true (and let me again stress that it's not) the only people who would know about it would be the planning and development people and the board of directors.

Sure, there are plans set for probably the next five to ten years or so, but we don't know what those are.

Have I mentioned that there is no contract?
