I see. That building must have been bigger than I thought. Although knowing CP they probably filled them all pretty fast.

Pirate Ride was your standard dark ride -- certain props, including getting swallowed by a sea monster (at least that's what I think it was), a sea serpent, octopus, and battling ships. It was a really old ride, because CP bought it used in the '60s. There was no water like Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean, but you rode in "boats" with skulls on the front. They had a great ship out front of the ride with cannons and everything too!

The double ferris wheel and coke!!!
I have to go with Chris on this one. I loved the earthquake and the funhouse but I really miss the double ferris wheel!! Brings back many good memories!!!
I don't remember cheeseburger on a stick. That sounds pretty tasty.

The cheeseburger-on-a-stick was essentially a cheese-on-a-stick with a piece of hamburger in between two pieces of cheese. It was around in the late 80's.
Sounds disgusting, huh? :)

I miss the penguins in the old aquarium.
Oh, yes, jonC, I'd forgotten about the penguins! *Grin* They were always so much fun to watch. I'm sorry they got rid of the aquarium, because in the "Lake Erie" tank there were some psycho fish I liked to watch -- they never moved, just floated there and looked at the wall. Then, halfway through the season, they switched and looked at the other wall. Weird...

it would have to be the pirat ride.this was a great ride that should of never of had been replaced by an arcade.
I miss the Lemon Ice stands, especially since we can't get anymore tips for next season from the vender.;)
Pirate Ride is gone, but the Cannons aren't! Those are still a reminder of the good old days back before I reached double digits in age...Wow, I miss that ride.
I would have to vote for the upside down house. The year right after the first year that I went in it, it was replaced so I don't remember much about it beside the fact that it was cool and it had a nifty slide.
So many things:
Old location of the carousel with the original building
Mill Race
Frontier Lift
Western Cruise (pre Iron Dragon days [especially the sunken burning boat])
The old control system on Blue Streak
Pirate Ride
San Fran Earthquake Ride
Dolphin Show
Riding in the upper cabin of the airconditioned space spiral and actually understanding the speil.
Jungle Larry's Safari Island
Giant Slide
Things from the recent past I wish I got a chance to ride:
Satellite Jets
Double Ferris Wheel
Upside Down Fun House
Jumbo Jet
