What do you miss in the park?

If I had one thing to choose that I really miss in the park it would be the frontier lift. It brings back childhood memories when I think about it. The trip through the forrest gave the ride a peaceful and pleasant feeling especially at dawn. I know progress eliminates favorites, but I wish it was still around.

Rotor was something else I wish would make a return. It was just a fun ride.

For me, I miss the dark rides including the Fun House, SF Earthquake, and especially the Pirate Ride.

I forget the name of it but it was where the Raptor is now. It was the mill ride. I remember going on it with my family. Truly fun times!

I miss actually seeing Disaster Transport WORK. It was a great ride when all the lights and action were working, and the exploding planet on the screen. Now no one likes it because nothing on it works and you can see where everything has been broken or taken out.

I agree with Pirate Ride! I remember how shocked I was when I went running to it, and it was gone! I loved that ride, and to see it be replaced by a crappy arcade, really disturbs me. Does CP use the former ride-area itself, for storage? or anything like that? I just think it is a waste.

I always enjoyed earthquake more than the pirate ride. I think that people miss the pirate ride more only because they don't remember the earthquake ride as well because it was removed years before the pirate ride.

I also enjoyed the frontier lift alot. I liked it beter than the sky ride.

The frontier carosel is also sadly missed by me.

I also miss the Bayern Kurve.

However, the ride I miss most is the ride that was next to the blue streak. It was the one with the jets that would go in a circle and you could raise them up or lower them down. I loved this ride and always wish it would return. This is the ride that I miss the most.

I really miss the fun house. I never missed walking thru it each year. I loved the upside down room.

I also miss the SF Earthquake.

CP really needs a dark ride.

I would have to say the funhouse or Pirate Ride. I have no idea why CP got rid of them when a dark ride is so badly needed.

Pirate ride is now used for storage -- I remember the pre-season of 1997: we had to move everything from "Alaska" (inside Disaster Transport) into Pirate Ride -- ugh! The supplies were moved because it was a pain trying to get them out of a dark ride when it is running -- it really is pitch black in there, believe me! *Grin*

I never rode the Pirate Ride. Was it somewhat similar to the Pirates of the Caribbian (sp?)

As for what I miss......I remember the Mill Race as my very first bigger type of ride and it scared me to death but I loved it. And a few years later it closed and my heart was broken. So I waited for this big new green ride called Raptor. Wow!! I wasn't dissapointed!

Magnum is sinking! -- We weren't moving props into Pirate Ride, just park supplies: brooms for the sweeps, cleaning supplies, and lots of bags of balls for the old Kid Arthur's Court ballroom. I'm not even sure if all the PR stuff is gone -- that's only one storage area. The Blue Streak's computer is in another part of it now, because the computer was updated. There could still be rooms left with lots of the Pirate stuff in them!
