I've noticed that too about fellow teenage guys trying to pick up girls and being very obnoxious and impersonal. I've found the best way to meet people and "MEAT":) girls is just asking them questions about THEM, not talking about how hot they are and telling them that you're the best thing since sliced bread and that "you need to get with me". Sunglasses can actually work to a disadvantage if you're looking to actually talk to them, but they're great for cheep thrills!

Millennium Force: As fast as a male horsefly!
it's the "cheap thrills " thing that bugs me...isn't that what the coasters are for? i know that people watching and hormones kinda go together when you are 15 or 16 but it can make some people uncomfortable. maybe i'm just too old for this topic...

i'm back and my brain is still scrambled...
I guess I'll be sure to tell my girlfriend not to wear her Hooters waitress tank top when we hit the park in July. ;) Too many people with sunglasses standing around us in line. haha
Looking at the ladies is definitely a great way to spend time in line. I, however, prefer to do it without sunglasses. Let her see me checking her out. That's how I've met a lot of girls. If she spots me looking, many times it makes them feel good, because I'm noticing her. If you've ever seen the movie "Swingers," you'll understand my philosophy. :)
I always do weird things. First of all I wear all blue. I play some game with the other people in line (you have to see it to know what I mean). I also make jokes with the ride ops and I always tell them how great there ride is. I also do weird things when I am on the ride (getting the people in the Magnum train to all laugh when they came into the station, getting the people in Blue Streak Train to sing the Blue song, getting the whole blue Gem train to chant Red, and of course getting everyone to put there arms up on Millennium Force.) Yes, I am a bit odd. But I do get the people to have a great time.
If you ever see a "blue guy" say hi!

Millennium Force will be the next to sink!
This isn't really in the queue, but whenever we go up a lift (especially on Magnum up front) I turn myself around and get every last person to put their hands up. It's awesome because people get better rides that way.
Well.. I've gotta say I'm one of those weirdo guys that isn't in to ogling the hot girls in line.. just not my cup of tea.. though I gotta say.. if I girl flashes my a great smile it tends to turn my head a tad.. but anyways..
My friends and I have a little thing we do when we're going up a lift hill. See.. we're all in choir together so we're pretty good at harmonizing.. and.. well.. we like to sing "Oh ***t" in barbershop style... so it goes like "oh..." "oh..." "oh..." "oh..." and then just as all 4 parts have come together and are being held we resolve the note down to a nice resonating "***T!"
Seems to entertain the people behind us half of the time.. and the other half.. well.. they give us that weird look.. you know that "stay away from my daughter" kind of look. Either way we have fun :)
Oh and I'm gonna be there this weekend on Sun./Mon. So listen for the barbershop quartet going up the MF hill.. I can't wait!
Hey welcome to the show goober, haven't seen you here in a long time. what else do I do in line... well I have looked at some girls but mainly i talk to others (servo, dan, scooter, goober...) I like what magnum is sinking said. I get more of a thrill when the riders with me are pumped and ready instead of hands down scared and quiet riders. And gentleman to the ladies of course. I like to get on the ride and think of fun things to do to get people to let loose and have fun. Probably because before last year I was scared of these things, and don't want others to be. Now I am living them up. I always do my best to bring back a train of enthusiasts when on all the rides but especially magnum raptor and MF. It feels like an accomplishment to me. I walk off trains where people are all quiet and have no enthusiam and feel worse than I did when I got on. So i guess in line I get the riders pumped and loose.

"BTW, does n-e-one know of n-e card games you can play while walking in line? "
Read my post, we play war. :) :)
Also you can play poker but it starts to get wicked boring after awhile.

It's not to say that I go to amusement parks to look at women. I'd be ecstatic if CP had a grand total of 5 people - no line at all. However, one has to make the best of a bad situation.
This is what I do at SFgam, but it could be transferred over to CP
If it's the last train of the day, I usually get people to yell out "one more ride!". And they usually all yell out "one more time!". Then the employees give us the thumbs up and release our harnesses and tell us to leave. You know, it would actually be funny to yell it out in the middle of a busy day, when I go to CP(1st time) June 2nd, I 'm gonna do this. Who's with me?
VorTex, me and some of my friends sing going up the hill, it's great. I'm in choir, and I've taught some of my friends like in my band how to sing (from the belly). Also playing hackysack in line is awsome, cept when you do a jesture and "accidentaly" kick that prepy jerk next to you (no offence to preps, just the jerk ones). Oh yea, some people were saying to wear shades when you go "sight seeing", umm...my shades are yellow, lol, they wont help me with that what so ever.

I play Mancala... And since I normally go to the point with my mother, I make fun of her for passing out on Kumba at BGTB!

"Yellow line? What Yellow Line..."
Wow, I'd hate to see the expression of the guest standing next to you seeing a rather large Mancala Board, or do you have Milton Bradley's travel version--heheh.
Oh, has anyone mentioned this line activity? Even though I hate to admit it, I find my friends and myself just being all out roller coaster nerds in line, talking about all the things that no one else cares about. Now that's a great way to get the chicks... :)

Remind me not to visit with you, Dave! ;) Just kidding, of course. If you do something along those lines, make stuff up. Especially in long lines, I know Dan and I are sure to talk about what a great ride Mean Streak is, and how it's the best coaster in the park.

Hey everyone, I'm new to this list. Anyway. Last year, my friend won a monkey swinging on a stick at a bottle-knocking-over-type-game. My friend, in the first place , has long black hair that he had tumbled over his shoulders, and was wearing a hawiian shirt which was unbuttoned a bit showing his massively hairy chest. So he looked like a bum who'd wandered into the park in the first place. So while we were in line for our late night last ride on the Raptor, we spotted some really snotty looking, yet pretty all the same, girls who were in our passing distance. So every time they'd pass, my scary friend would swing the monkey slowly back and forth at the girls and just stare at them with wide spooky eyes. I was just dying laughing, and he did this the whole line. At first they were laughing then they got kind of weirded out and annoyed, but by the end, we ended up next to them in the last seat line and got to talking and they actually wanted us to ride with them. So it all ended well, and it was fun. Even though the girl next to me screamed loud enough to make my ears bleed, but it was still a good time. (By the way, they were really snotty even when we met them, but they had nice smiles) THE END!

Question: How do you explain the actions of millions of people who wait hours upon hours to be dropped down a hill?
Answer: You don't...
Why even bother with sunglasses when looking at girls? I figure if they catch me, so what, im never going to see any of these people again in my life so who cares. And when they are dressed the way they are they are asking for it anyways.
