What do i do?

On my app i put bartend for my top 3 picks. I will serve but nothing else. I got an email from some guy over food in the park. I want to be outside the park at like Famous Dave, Breakwater, Friday's,Beaches 'N' Cream. What will happen if i say no thanks i want a full bar to him? Will my app get kicked out

Just be polite and express a preference for where you would like to work during your interview. If they like you they can always pass your application along to the manager at Famous Dave's or the hotel.

I think it is unlikely / rare that a new hire will get a real bartending job. You MIGHT get a job pouring beer in the park.

Fair enough. You've probably got a good chance of getting what you want. The impression left by your initial post sounded like you didn't really know how things worked. Connections are always good. If you know a lifer in CP restaurant management, I'd call or email them directly to let them know you'd put in your application and what you're interested in. I always found that effective.

I did get a service bar job at Fridays.

I worked at CP 5yrs ago when i was 18. No one that i knew then and was friendly with is still there now, I would not want to call someone that may not remember me. Also the west coast properties are sorta of a different part of CF world. They have longer season some open all year and they cater to a different group of people. I asked my old silver tag at knotts Fridays he knew no one at CP.

If you got a service bar job at Friday's, you've gotten what you wanted. In the door tipping position door! The rest is up to you. Good Luck! If I were you, I'd grab a drink menu at a local friday's and start learning the strange drinks they have. Granted the beach friday's always has a scaled down menu, you still need to know the drinks.

Half of the people here will tell you its great and the other half will tell you its horrible. Id say come up and try it yourself and see. If you don't like it, you can leave and go home. Simple as that.
