What Coasters Have Awesome Lighting?

Looking at the cams... you can not really tell the lighting affects on the rides. What are the coolest coasters to see at night? I have noticed the awesome light affects in TTD's station on the web cam.

Top Thrill Dragster is obviously light up the most...

Millennium Force lights up occasionally on the main lift hill.. it will change from Blue to Green (I think? I am colorblind, so im not totally sure)...the lift hill supports that is.. theres 3 of them, and they change colors at night

Mean Streak has some spotlights that really make the ride stand out as well...

Mantis and Magnum just have lights that go up the lift hill (that sort of outline the track)

But, by far, Top Thrill Dragster stands out on the Cedar Point night skyline.. especially from 2 when going over the Sandusky Bay..

The MilForce has awesome hill lights! Meanstreak looks awesome all light up in the back there. those are my faves, althought simple, magnums lights are to the point takes you really really high up and just lets you go!

Bholcomb, are you basing your statement about MF's lift hill "occasionally" lighting up from CP.com's banner?!? The last time I was at the park was last June, and it was awesome back then. Not only did it frequently have multiple colors on the lift hill, sometimes it would flicker black and white, which was also cool. Here are some links:

You can see in this last link that one of the lights was broken, constantly stuck on red (this is the way it was when I went last year).
I haven't seen Dragster yet but from the webcams it looks REALLY bright. I also thinks that the station looks really cool. Does anyone have pictures of the station at night?

Dragster is pretty lit up, but I'd have to say that MF's lights are more unique with all of the colors.

yeah, id have to agree with Millennium Force's lights being the best at the park. its just so neat to see that thing at night, all the colored supports dancing and etcetera...
another good one is Power Tower. Top Thrill Dragster's lights are pretty nice too...

I disagree I think Mean Streak has the best lighting simply because not only the way the lighting is done but how it looks overall.

yes, Mean Streak's lighting is nice, but the most unique and visually appealing would have to be Millennium Force. no matter where you see this ride from, it is just jaw dropping. i will agree with you that Mean Streak looks nice; especially at night. *sigh* its just too bad it doesnt ride as good as it looks.

Millennium Force's lights are cool, but they are too dim. You can barely see them from the edge of the parking lot. Blue Streak has pretty cool lights. Simple, but cool.

I cant remember dose raptor and wicked twister have any lights?

HA, I thought that MF's lights were REALLY bright, I was amazed how bright they are. I remember actually making out the colors on the webcams. I don't know about raptor, but I know that WT's two tower's are brightly lit.

I never really remembering having a problem seeing Millenium Force's lights off the peninsula. Phillip, maybe you just have an eye problem. They seem as bright as anything else to me.

Wicked Twister has a few spotlights on both the towers. I wouldn't say it is very bright. Raptor has lights under the first drop, the loop, and the cobra roll. The cool thing about Raptor are the strobe lights under the cobra roll that blink when a train is there.

No, those are before the cameras and a specific effect, until the train gets close, the cobra has normal constant lighting. As it draws near those lights turn off, few sec. delay, then strobes come on right before the train arrives. Very cool when night riding. To see this clearly at night ride the cadillac cars and "slow down" by the cobra roll.

I'm assuming you want to know about lighting on CP coasters, but I think the coolest lighting of any coaster is probably Goliath at SF Holland. That coaster is absolutely beautiful at night. If you want to see pics, go to rcdb.com.

I think TTD's lights will look great when the countdown lights are working. You'll be able to know when it's launching from about anywhere in the park. I think MF's lights are a bit dim from far away or in my camera it comes out terrible, I can't see the lights in my camera but I can see TTD's. But up close and on the ride MF's look awesome.

MF seemed a lot brighter last year, maybe its just because TTD is so bright now. I liked MF two years ago durring the 4th of July weekened when it was red, white and blue colors. I didn't see that last year. Power Tower used to look cool, but now they don't change the colors on it anymore. Now it is just white all the time.

Yes, It's just insane how bright and the number of lights there are for Dragster. Those are almost blinding on the way down. I also have to say that those two spot lights that extend seemingly forever into the sky are just awesome. I wonder actually how high they reach.
