What can you get away with at CP?

This is my first year working at Cedar Point but is there anything you can get away with like: Free Food or going to the front of the ride lines on your days off, Free games and so on? Or just share the things you or someone you knew has done before.

I know every Monday night is Employee ride night.

You cannot go to the front of the ride line, period. Does not matter if you are an employee, wouldnt be fair to the guests. :)

You cant play the games (where prizes are awarded) if you are employee, on or off duty. You can only play in the arcade off duty.

I wouldn't really call it "getting away" with stuff. Using that phrase makes it sound like you're doing something wrong. (If you ARE looking for ways to "cheat the system," I would ask you to examine your attitude...I hope it isn't the attitude you would bring with you to work!)

That aside, there are a lot of benefits to being a CP employee, including Ride Night like Ejector said. You probably know that you can get into CP and Soak City to ride the rides for free whenever you're not working. You probably also know that you get 4 free tickets for friends and family after working 28 days. If you need more tickets, you can always try getting the international employees to sell theirs to you. If you can't arrange that, you can buy additional ones from HR at a discount. Last year they were $28.50.

CP also puts on dances, barbecues, movie nights, parties, and arranges trips to other cities and parks for employees. The trips cost something but in my opinion are very reasonable.

Gotta agree with Lee, sounds like you're already trying to find ways to rip off CP. That's pretty sad considering you haven't even started working there yet!

...or just share the things you or someone you knew has done before

I knew several people last year who were getting free food from a stand in the back of the park. They had a friend back there who was hooking them up, but she was caught by her supervisor and busted for theft. Is that how you want your first year at CP to go?

"Ghostbusters whaddya want?" - I've always wanted to do that on the phone. :)

Well I didn't mean it to sound like you were stealing stuff or I wanted too!...I knew lots of people that were doing these things at cedar point but I was just wondering if there were any more thats all.....After thinking about what I posted, It really sounded like I was wondering so I could do some of them!....I would never steal from CP it is the only place I want to work and I wouldn't ever do anything to get fired!!!

I don't know of anyone doing anything really wrong; besides smuggling liquor into the Commons Apartments, the people I knew last summer went pretty strictly by the rules. There were a couple people that one of my roommates worked with in Friday's who used to sneak drinks from the bar -- I think they got fired when they got a bit too tipsy at work. You'll hear about all kinds of employee stupidity the first month or two you're there; after that, it seems like it goes away because either the employees learn their lesson or they're weeded out and fired.

Anyway, you're forgiven, Wickedcoasterhost... ^_~ Good to know that you are looking forward to your summer and doing your best job -- I'm sure you'll have an absolute blast!

What can you get away with? that sounds so evil.

"WHAT?"

Things you can get away with?? Hummm thats a very broad topic. Like comming in 5 minutes late and not getting written up, or comming home with a new hat that was lost on the ride. I really wouldn't advise the latter of the two, never know whats in the hat.
