What are your guys hours:

Hey Friends---for those of you who get to the point b4 the season ( I mean, a few weeks b4 the season) what are your work hours? Do you work/cycle in normal clothes? Off weekends?Today, since it's poaring---did you guys even work?? Just curious how all that works. Also, is on-point housing open yet?

In ride ops we usually work like 9-4 but they tell us to be ready to work till 5. We cleaned/cycled in normal everyday clothes but had to follow grooming guidelines i.e. shaving every day, the whole earring deal and so on. As for on point housing... I don't think it's open yet but I don't know for a 100% fact. Rain wise it really isn't that bad up here today... just a little drizzle.. but yeah we worked in rain before I don't see why we wouldn't work in it again.

Oh Andrew--you are on such a nice crew of people---MS crew were always so nice. I had a friend in '00 who was part of MS---what was her name???? But, she LOVED it----the bending down thing to check lap bars dosen't get to you does it? You guys can still come in the park anytime, right? Is it still all dark at night? When do you think they will start lighting up Dragster and all that? You have your nametag yet?

"Is it still dark at night?"

WTF kind of question is that?

MrScott

I think he meant are the coaster lights still off during the night, like when will CP start leaving their lights on.
Maybe it's just from watching Lewis Black do a comedy bit, but I found that comment hilarious, MrScott. :)

Will Foamy become the next Strong Bad? I guess we will find out...

Caution: Foamy isn't quite as "PC" as Strong Bad.

"If we go any faster, she'll blow apart for sure!"

Cedar Point leaves the lights off on the rides during the wintertime and when I went last summer to work there, when I processed in April, the lights were out for a couple of wks till the park opened up and they stayed on 24/7 till the season ends. The blinker lights on Dragster and MF stay on year round so that aircraft doesn't collide with the giant structures. Hope that explains it all. As for the hotel business I worked in up there, I hope its going well too.
