What are the chances...

Hi, I am really considering working up at Cedar Point when i'm 18. I'm wondering what the chances are of getting to be on a coaster crew. From what I read in this board, I see a lot of you got on some sweet coasters for your first years and stuff. Is there some certain stuff you have to do or what? Thanks!
Yeah the certain stuff you have to do is apply. Nobody knows the chances.

Well, when you do get your interview, they'll ask you if you are afraid of heights. Of course you want to say "no" to that question and then just request a high-speed ride when it comes time to asking.

Hey thanks a lot!

But remember there is NO promise that park operations will call you. They were my first choice last year and and I got into Merchandise. I personally love the Merchandise Department. My suggestion to you is if you don't get into park operations do take a job that you are offered in another department. You may find you can have an awsome summer somewhere other than rides. Including being a sweep.

Remember not everyone works on sweet coasters. Its still fun to work the small rides. But like speedzonetl04 said, if you don't get into rides don't worry about it, and go where they ask you to. No matter where you work, you're gonna have a great time, because of the people your working with.
