I am going to Cedar Point this summer and I want to know everything about these rides
You have got to be kidding! The wait times are from walk on to 4 hours, depending on time of visit.
I know there were times last year I was able to walk on many of the rides and the longest I waited was 2.5 hours on opening day to ride the Maverick which by the way was having problems and when it was our turn to ride, it closed! I was sooo bummed!!!!
Life is like a rollercoaster! It is full of ups and downs
TTD....... 2 - 3 hrs on Fridays and Saturdays 30min - 1hr week days
Millie...... 2 - 3 hrs on Fridays and Saturdays 1 - 2 hrs week days
Maverick 2hrs on Friday and Saturday 1 1/2 hrs on week days
Mantis 1hr on Fridays and Saturdays 15min - 30 min on week days
Magnum 1hr on Fridays and Saturdays 15min - 30 min on week days
Wicked Tw 1hr on Fridays and Saturdays 15min -30 min on week days
Corkscrew 30 min tops every day
Gemini 30min - 45min on Fridays and Saturdays 15min week days
Raptor 1-2hrs on Fridays and Saturdays 30min to 1 1/2 hrs week days
Mean Streak 15 min every day (this ride no one likes)
Iron Dragon 15 min every day
Blue Streak 20 min - 45min every day
Disaster Transport ON hot days you will wait forever
Demon Drop 20min to 30 min every day
PowerTower 30min - 45min on Fridays and Saturdays 15 min week days
Skyhawk 15min to an hour
maXair 15 min to an hour
Witches' Wheel 10min
Snake River Falls 15 - 20 min
Hope i could help

Actually Mean Streak had an hour wait during Halloweekends 08. So I guess nobody likes except me.

Or they could all be closed if the day you visit is rainy.
Or they could all be busier if that is the day 20 schools chose to have their class trips.
Or they could all be empty if it looks rainy, but never actually rains.
Or they could be busier if they are short staffed and are running behind capacity.
Or you could check here.
Truth is, no matter how much any of us visit the park, you can't tell how busy a day will be until you get there. May and early June are good picks because school is still in session, but there is always that odd day. Same as August, most days will be busy as hell, but you can catch that weird day where the weather co-operates to keep many away but doesn't hit you.
The best day to ask us what the crowds will be like on a particular day will be the day after that day.
Goodbye MrScott

Furthermore, if you're going to the park and want to ride, you don't have any choice in the matter.

Here are the four rides that will have the longest wait: MF, TTD, Maverick and Raptor. If you are staying onsite or have a Platinum Pass then you can ride all but TTD during the one hour ERT, although you wont have time to do that and get in line for TTD before opening most likely. Thats why you should try to do Maverick and MF during ERT and then get in line for TTD, which you should be able to ride before 10:30, then you only have one big (2+ hour) wait left, Raptor and if you wait until the afternoon it wont be as long.
If you dont have ERT then ride TTD first (only ride not open for ERT and thus the only one without a long line at opening,) ride Maverick midday (lots of shade in the queue) Raptor later that afternoon and MF at night (because it rocks at night.)
Any other ride, barring you going on a near capacity day (which can sometimes happen) should be no longer then 1.5 hours and most likely not longer then 1 hour.
Gemini really can't get more than a 20 min wait, its almost impossible.

Wanna bet? I heard reports of it reaching an hour on at least one peak day this summer.

haha, unless it was for mechanical reasons, or possibly a substantial guest illness, there is no way that ride could ever reach an hour wait.

Here's one TR that documents just such a wait:

I'm sure I could find more if I looked harder, but I'm getting bored.

I was there that day and I waited about an hour for it. I should also add that everything was running smoothly too.
The last time I was at CP it was late June. Gemini's wait was about half an hour to 45 minutes.
I think that Magnum n' Maverick XL and John's descriptions were the best. :)
"You wanna, you gotta, you hafta hold on, Cedar Point...HOLD ON!"
Another reason to sit in the back, and that is true cfan of any month that does not have an O as its first letter.
I am here to back up GAM man 68 on the Gemini topic. It is a very proven fact that with both sides running smoothly and Gemini's queue being full, the wait time from the turnstile is 20-25 minutes till you board the ride. Make it an even 30 before you walk down the exit. Obviously double that if there is only one side running but anyone who thinks they waited an hour for the ride didn't keep a good record of their time in line, or notice it shut down for maybe guest article or illness or something. If everything goes well the line literally almost never stops moving.

The only times we have waited more then 30 minutes for a ride at CP in the past 4 years have all included TTD. Just a thought.

I remember one particular day in June when a few of us loonatics did the "Gemini 100" and we did it! A bunch of us rode Gemini all day long and 8 of us finished with our 100th ride as the last ride of the night together! We picked Gemini because we knew it was the only coaster that had the capacity to handle that many trips/p rider in one day.
Good times!! :)

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?

I don't know what ride your looking at but I'm going to change this one. Mantis on Weekends is usually 2 1/2 hour wait, 30 min to an 1 hour on week days.
