what are the apartments like?

i was just wondering what the appartments are like inside.do they have a dresser?also do they have a tv?just wondering...thanks.
From what I remember we did have 2 dressers in our room plus 2 closets. however, you can share these with up to 4 people sometimes so don't bring a lot of clothes.

when I got to the apartment in 99 I already had 3 4 other roommates and there was a TV and VCR there. but I don't know who's it is. so I can't answer that.

If you plan on getting an apartment you will need to bring pots and pans and paper plates and such and bring some groceries. you have a kitchen so use it.

Personally just a matter of my own opinion I think apartments are great to live in especially if you are bringing your own car.

They do have a fridge, stove, that sort of thing, but no, you have to provide the tv/vcr if you want one. Dressers and closets are there, and beds (duh), but no "amenities" if you will, just the basics. Same for the dorms, without the kitchen-type stuff.

thank you for this great info...i would have never of thought to bring pots and pans.
I also suggest bringing your own dry foods and get your veggies such once you get there unless you can fit it all into a cooler which you might wanna do if your not going to bring a car.

Four bedrooms have 3 people, one bedroom has 4 people. A total of 16 people if living in Commons apartments. 12 X 12 feet give or take a couple feet, I am guessimating. The quad room is bigger than the triples.

Right on, Petfarmer. HyperSeanman - the whole apartment will have 16 people. Everyone has a key to the front door, and you and your 2-3 roommates will each have a key into your bedroom. You share the bathroom/kitchen/living area with everyone. Gets pretty hectic, I will say that!

Well then how many people live in each dorm? Based on experience, anybody done both? and which is the best way to go?
I was in the Commons Apartments for a couple weeks before the on-point dorms opened. The dorms typically have 2/room, except for a few that do have 3-4. There are no kitchen facilities and the bathrooms are communal. Personally, I have no problem with the dorms and prefer them tremendously over the apartments: more privacy, IMO, and it is nice being that close to the park so you don't have to wait for the bus or fight the traffic. I don't have issues with the community bathrooms, either. A lot of it depends on your preferences. I haven't lived in the off-point dorms, but I'd recommend anything on-point first, for the convenience - close to the timeclock, the paycheck, the cafeteria, wardrobe. But that's me!

what are you thoughts on food though, cause personally here, i'm getting sick of cafeteria food after eating it for 2 semesters... are the meals cheap? good? or should i just plan to stock up on sandwhich meat and chips?

The cafeteria at CP is much different than college dorms - much better! And cheaper than dirt, trust me. I thought breakfast was the best meal of the day - you could buy so much you couldn't eat it for $5, no joke. But you can always get chicken sandwiches, burgers, pizza (for dinner), salads, sandwiches, fries, fruit, etc. for really good prices. The entree meals start to look like college food, but they're good too, no sweat. Since I lived on-point I was always eating at the cafeteria; if you want to live off-point or in the apartments, the cafeteria would probably be too inconvenient for you when you're not at work.

In the Rec Center, which is located in the off point housing complex, there is a small "eatery" type place that makes those small 6 inch pizzas, and some other stuff. Its pretty cool. Actually the whole rec center is pretty cool. Internet hook ups, games, huge TV. Its all good.

Bah on those Internet hookups there.

And you neglected to mention the workout facilities there :oP The elliptical machine seems as if it will fall apart any day now, and the weights already stunk last season. Heh, I'm so positive today.

rec center?im not clear on where exactly it is.also my friend used to work there years ago,and he was telling me that there used to be a rec hall over by wardrobe.does anyone remember it?
hothitz,

Nah this is an all new rec center in the off-point housing complex. I dont think that you can see it from the road. It is back in the far corner next to one of the dorm buildings. It was built new for last season. It is really cool I think and was a good idea by Cedar Point for the employees. It was always freezing cold in there from the super powered A/C.

The one your friend mentioned used to sit across the road from the Gold Dorms. It was removed to make room for the Breakers expansion.
