What a sound!!!

Was there to get my season pass today. Sat in the Breakers parking lot for a bit and was able to watch a few test runs. Has anyone bothered to think about what this thing was gonna sound like on the lauch? Nothing like a dragster that's for sure. More like a turnbine engine winding up to max rpm real damn quick. Wasn't able to tell if it was just wheel noise or launch mechanism noise.

The videos had some awesome sounds!

Yes the sound was incredible I thought it sounds sort of like a Plane taking off. but when your inside the airport not outside. you know what I mean. it was cool though.

For anyone who saw the train launching, whether you should have been there or not... how fast did the launch look? The website says it's about 4 seconds but it could easily be more or less than that. What does it look like compared to Wicked Twister for instance? ...It won't be long now!

Is Spam meat?

I doubt its more than 4.5 seconds or less than 3.5 seconds launch time. Probably real close to 4 seconds (i.e. 3.8 seconds).

Xcelerator's got a real intresting noise ever since they started ventalating the hydraulic room. Sounds like a siren just after train gets onto the normal, non launch track.

Not trying to be mean but you were trespassing on Cedar Points property. Your only allowed to go up to the guard's booth on the road that takes you back there. You are only allowed back there as a guest when the park is open.

People who were not there yesterday need to know that their were lots of people in and out of that back parking lot it is not tresspassing if there are no signs and no guards in the booths. I even saw the cop car pass me and he did not say a word. FOR THE RECORD. there were lots of season passers going back there. there was enough traffic to make use of some stoplights at times.

I guess i wouldn't have a 24hour webcam, websites full of message boards where people discussed rumors of my backyard and tv commercials advertising it. But I see your opinion, its cool, just tell me you didn't watch the videos and leave the reprimanding to the police.

Absolutely! Right on, Mr. Spartan and Jeff! Just because you were not caught DOES NOT make it right. Let the people continue their hard work and stay out of there. From the main parking lot, we were able to see Dragster testing just fine. You can surely wait another week to ride, and see it up close!

How many times does this have to be brought up? It's trespassing, clean and clear. What more do you people need to understand? I mean honestly.

If anyone has the videos, listen to the noise the train makes as it flies backwards across the luanch track...trust me on this one.

I like this site, but I honestly would prefer the people associated with it stop making faulse accusations and kissing CPs behind. In order for tresspassing to occur, a sign must be posted indicating a construction area, or boundary area. Incorrect mind reading does not qualify for tresspassig.

The truth of the matter is this site wants to maintain its relationship with the Point, and the Point wants to control the image quality of its product (TTD). Both of which are VERY valid reasons for removing the movies.

Thankfully, the video is now on other sites, and what a video it is!! Thank you for taking it.

Regarding the sound, it reminded me of the B&M roar surprisingly.

I think Jeff probably understands the rules at the Point more than any others on this site. Maybe it's not Jeff but I'm sure at least ONE of the mods knows the rules better than all of us.
