I could be wrong, but arn't the Soak City's stand alone parks, where as the Wildwater Kingdom's are free with admission to the amusement park?

But if you remove the amusement park from Geauga Lake, what does their water park become? There is no park to include water park admission with. Only a stand-alone water park.

All i know is if i ever visit Wildwater Kingdom after they have closed GL down for good. It would be really weird to be on the stairs for a water slide and too look over to where GL used to be and see an empty park with old buildings and park paths just roting away. just the thought of it makes me shake in fear. boo hoo :(
No but it would be a little freaky if u ask me,
Don't worry. Odds are you'd look over and see condo's and new construction. CF won't let the land sit to rot, they'll sell it off to a developer.

^^ That's how I always felt when I went to Geauga Lake after Sea World closed. That's a big reason why I've never been back. I had too close of a connection to Sea World to enjoy my time at Geauga Lake while Sea World was sitting there rotting away. That plus Geauga Lake was/is a hole compared to Cedar Point.
^ That is kind of a silly reason not to enjoy GL. You should try or - or should I say should have tried it.
Also, IMO CP is a hole comapred to some other parks - I guess its what you have to compare it to.
^^ I tried Geauga Lake several times. While some of the rides were good, I didn't like the atmosphere of the park at all. I gave the park a fair chance by going several different times under different park ownership. It just didn't do it for me. I'd much rather drive to Hershey or CP for a good time.
I can understand why you feel the way you do if the previous ownership is what your basing your opinion on.
