aaaannnnnnnnnd......there's no Geauga Lake only season pass, only CF Platinum passes.
Anyone want to speculate more?

Ride on, MrScott!
TIM'S being a bit of a nit-picking word prude tonight. ;)
Okay, let's try to figure out why Cedar Fair would only offer the CF Platinum Pass, but no single park pass. Keep in mind -- only speculation.
It might serve as some rhetorical protection for the chain, in the event they do seriously downsize the park further this off-season. When customers complain, they can reasonably retort, "But that pass is good at ALL Cedar Fair chains! It's still a value even if we did major coaster liposuction on Geauga Lake without telling anybody!"

I spoke with Bill Spehn at the park today and asked him about GL only passes. He said the pricing hadn't been finalized on GL only passes yet.

To keep V******L**** out of their parks. Management saw that they promised to not buy another pass if the got rid of Villain, so they are ensuring happiness for the rest of us.
Goodbye MrScott

i just got back from Geauga Lake and a guy that works on Thunderhawk told me that he heard Texas Twister is being moved to Cedar Point. I dont know how to start a post on here so put it here
Viagra Lubers?
Vanessa Lickers?
Voluptuous Llamas?
Vicious Lampreys?
Gosh, I'm stumped. I know you certainly can't be referring to Villain Lovers, since there's only about three of them. ;)
Randi, it's a lot more painful procedure than it sounds. You don't even want to know where they stick the hose.

Most interesting thing on the GL website...
Platinum Pass also includes FREE PARKING at ALL Cedar Fair amusement parks and membership in Point Perks (formerly Joe Cool Club).
I thought you only got the Point Perks if you bought the pass at Cedar Point....
Jeff Young
Yeah, I noticed that too Jeff but I just wrote it off as a copy and paste error from the CP site.
If you follow the link the one from CP says this....
Ages 3-61, 48" or taller.
Unlimited admission to any Cedar Fair amusement park or outdoor waterpark for the duration of the 2008 operating season. Platinum Pass also includes FREE PARKING at ALL Cedar Fair amusement parks and membership in Point Perks (formerly Joe Cool Club). Plus, if you purchase by November 11, 2007, you'll get a Cedar Fair V.I.P. Season Pass jacket!
And the link to buy a GL one says this....
Ages 3-61, under 48" tall or age 62 or older.
Unlimited admission to any Cedar Fair amusement park or outdoor waterpark for the duration of the 2008 operating season. Platinum Pass also includes FREE PARKING at ALL Cedar Fair amusement parks. Plus, if you purchase by November 11, 2007, you'll get a Cedar Fair V.I.P. Season Pass jacket!
I think they just need to fix GL's site and remove the wording that they copied from CP's.

I'm not sure if this really makes that much of a difference, but if you go to Geauga Lake's website and go to 2008 season passes, it has a picture of a season pass to Geauga Lake and Wildwater Kingdom. I don't think that Cedar Fair would take the time or effort to create a season pass design for a park that isn't going to be around next year (or just a waterpark).
^ They probably just slapped their existing logo on the pass for the website. I wouldn't read too much into that. Then again, I wouldn't read into too much they've announced (or not announced) so far regarding Geauga Lake.
I wonder if they'd ever rename Wildwater Kingdom to Soak City? They have numerous Soak Cities in California. Then again, they have several Wildwater Kingdoms too. Just a thought.

Given that they already have a "Soak City" in the Cleveland market I doubt it. I'm sure they thought about the branding when they built Wildwater Kingdom and, since they like keeping CP unique, chose to brand each waterpark differently.
