Well once again I picked a great afternoon to take off and hit the point with a buddy. Got to the park a little after 1. Started with Raptor, a walk on the whole afternoon and night. Super rides once again. Got a few in and hit the force, started at about 40 minute wait then went down to about 10 at night. Saw all kinds of great physics shirts. Like one that said "Hey baby, What's your sine" With a picture of a sine wave. Anyone know where I can buy one of those? Read a shirt that said the top 10 dumbest things people ask at CP....I like the "where is 12E at?".
We hit the flat rides, and magnum. Ah I hate too break some bad news, but our ride in the ejector seat on the red train was not peaceful. A bit rough. I hope it was a bad wheel and not last years problem coming back.
As the highlight of the trip, once again (it never fails) I saw MR. look skyward getting off Raptor, with his PT shirt I see him in quite often. And of course he was looking upward. I needed a underwear change after that. These short lines are going too come back and kill us during the summer.

It's Dan K's fault
Yeah, Red Train Beat me up yesterday on Magnum. Of course every time I was up the Red train would be pulling into the station. So far this year I'd say Black is the best.
Was there today also...
Good thing you weren't there around 11! Huge downpour rolled in for about an hour, but after that it was fine. Cool going on Power Tower in the rain...raindrops fall in reverse!
I also saw all of those "Camp Math" shirts. If you ask me, I think i would have brought another shirt to change into! :)
MF was down until about 2 or 3, can't remember, but it ran all 3 trains the rest of the day. Very short waits after about 4.
Raptor was really flying today. Walk ons after about 4 with virtually all other rides.
At about 7:30, Magnum stopped about a fourth of the way up the lift hill. They boarded the next train, however, and made a point to tell everyone to remain seated on the ride. I tried to prevent stapling by arching my legs a bit, but the ride op told me to keep my feet flat on the floor and don't stand up...or the ride will have to stop and they'll have to call the cops. Turns out it got stopped b/c some fool stood up. Police officer was there talking to one of the crew members. Just thought it was kind of interesting.
That's about it...great day at the Point... despite walking around in sloshy shoes all day.
I was there today also. Magnum ran pretty well early in the day, but when I took my second ride around 6:30, it about killed me. I sat near the front (I can't remember what seat exactly), and I had to hold on for dear life during the pretzel! I was getting tossed around like a rag doll. I don't mind airtime in fact I love it, but this wasn't up and down, this was side to side along with the up and down. Pretty vicious ride Maggie was giving.
There was a problem with Millie tonight too. About 10 minutes to close we were within 3 trains of the station when the whole thing went down. We couldn't see into the station very well, but the yellow train was sitting in the unload station and we could see smoke rising from the middle of it. I believe there was some sort of power problem. The mechanic arrived to work his magic and within about 10 minutes he had it running. With 4 rides today, the closest to the front we came was the second seat. What an amazing ride Millenium Force is. For me, it's easily my favorite ride in the park right behind a backseat ride on the Raptor.
Hooper, I wish I had known you were going to be there. I would have loved to have hooked up for a couple of flights on Raptor.

Oh and one other thing. That morning rain really sucked! I did get to do the Power Tower in the rain. We were in line when it started and it was wild to watch it as we were dropped.
Oh yeah, I also took in the Midway Market for the first time. Ya know for $10, you really do get a lot of food! I'm just glad it's a smoke free environment, otherwise I would be in there all day! LOL

EDIT: Boo to the ride ops on Mine Ride who wouldn't let the bikini clad gals on to the ride. I was really hoping to share a seat with one of them. ;) LOL
In all honesty, the Mine Ride folks were the best in the park today.

RATS! YOU were there today and I didn't know it? UGH! I was there today with my dear friend Mantomatic Jeff having a blast and we were talking about you. Wish he could have met you! We're doing a dual TR tomorrow.
Dude, I cannot believe you saw Mr Skyward. (Seen him every day so far) I told Jeff about that today and when he checked GTTP tonight he told me you had seen him. I thought I was going to absolutely die of laughter and I'm still wiping tears away from laughing at the irony. Sitting here trying to explain it to my friend Jeffy and can't control my laughing still. Y'all are going to send me to an early grave.
What's this stuff about no girls on bikinis on the rides? I always do the bikini top/shorts combo on the hottest days and have never had a problem with it..this better not be something new :-P

The girls were in just a bikini. They didn't even have shoes on. It was quite a sight. hehe

Too bad we didn't all hook up somewhere...good thing I read the meetings and gatherings forum...oh wait I didn't. And I forgot to mention I even saw CP's fine GM walk right past me. I'll stop there.
