I live on Lake St. Clair, so the weather wouldn't be that different at all.
I'd like to retire to Florida, on a sandy beach (mind you, without hurricanes, but that may be too much to ask). It's home to most of the major world-famous theme parks, and, of course, has a good climate. Of course, I would fly up north to visit relatives, and when I do, I'll bolt to CP as fast as my car can take me.
Then again, I haven't even entered the workforce yet, so it's a little too early to be thinking about that...
I'll agree....Ohio has some days in the summer when it is actually warm ( maybe even a few hot ), BUT I love coming up there in the middle of July and Dick Goddard - or the weatherperson of your choice - is telling us how hot it is when the temps are in the Lower 80's for a Hi..... Don't get me wrong, I love it up there... Our average Hi in July is usually around 96+. And ya'll usually get a White Christmas!!! another big plus...
Please remain seated until the ride comes to a complete AND final stop.....

Sandusky isn't any different than any other average city in this country. Using similar arguments, I could say that 95% of this country is boring.
95% of the country IS boring.

To Gregdawg: There are 2 condos for sale right next to Castaway Bay. I checked them out on realtyone.com. The addresses are 124 Marina Point Dr., and 137 Marina Point Drive. The second condo is only $139.000 and had a harbour view. Sharon Woodson is the realtor and the phone is 419-356-0348. Maybe you and your wife can check them out. Good luck.
