Windseeker is also running. Are they sure they open at noon for early entry? Wish I was there this weekend.
Coco - I saw the same thing around 9:45. I saw Gatekeeper and Mantis running as well.

Well I'm no expert but I believe before they open the rides everyday they have to test them to make sure they are operating properly.
Cedar Point tweeted that opening time was 1pm today with early entry at noon. They tweeted that at 7am.

I heard that a company bought out the park from 9:00am to 1:00pm that's why the opening of the park was at 1pm today. - but I have no source.. does anyone know if that's true?
GATEKEEPER-I came, I rode, I was mildly disappointed; until a second ride (rear left) put GateKeeper back on the...it's a nice ride list.
Something like that must have happened because there were definitely people in the park and many rides running at 10 am.
There was a park buy out in the morning, with rides starting around 9. Early entry was noon with all rides operating. By 2 the parking lot was completely full and the lot on the marina side of the road was filling up.
This weekend was an order of magnitude more crowded than any other bonus weekend I have been to, other years
I would agree, yesterday (Saturday) was horrendous. Basically a July day all over again. Friday was still decent and today was not that bad but definitely still busier then last year's bonus weekend. Had I known there was a buy out yesterday, we wouldn't have come. This probably explains why the hours for yesterday were changed from 12-10 to 1-10 a few weeks ago to give those people extra time to themselves. Early entry was non-excistent due to this. FWIW if anyone was curious, it was The Limited Brands that bought out the park, and also a Vitamix company picnic or something like that. Combine all of that with a triathlon and it wasn't exactly quiet to say the least.
I didn't think it was bad yesterday at all. We walked on MF twice during ERT as well as maverick (my 6 year old is 52" woohoo!) and by about 4, everything but Maverick and Top Thrill were walk ons. I did both sides of Gatekeeper in less then 10 minutes.
Saturday was busy but not insane. We stuck to the less popular stuff like Gemini and Magnum but walked right on those. We got a night MF ride with only a 20 minute wait. By about 8, the park was emptying out!
Friday was simply perfect though!
I was extremely bummed when I hit that parking lot on saturday around 2pm. We almost turned around and didn't go in. I have to say the lines still weren't as bad as I expected after seeing that parking lot though. I went and checked Raptor (posted 45) and Blue Streak (about a 5 minute wait) before making the decision. So we decided to brave it. Didn't get Maverick in; 1.25 hour wait the whole day. Not doing that. Top Thrill was broke down everytime we checked the line. Would've been too long anyway. Gatekeeper forget it. Finally, MF was down to a 45 minute wait by 9pm. So at least we got that. We got 7 coasters and three other attractions in, including a haunt which was nice.
