I have my septum pierced if I flipped it up would anyone say anything to me?

I'm thinking you should post a pic so we can see what you're talking about. And really, all you have to do to get somebody to say something to you is be friendly & smile.
And I don't think they like to be called waitresses any more - not politically correct apparently. I think they prefer "dwarf", but I could be mistaken.

Well, the septum she's referring to is the cartilage between the nostrils of the nose.

Let's make it simple, if it isn't "earlobe" pierced is no. Well, anywhere that is visible in uniform anyway. You are allowed to have 2 piercings on the lower earlobe. That's it. No where else on the face. No tounge, lip, nose, cheek, eyebrow, the back of your hand, whatever. Anywhere that can be seen is not allowed.

Same goes for tattoos, no visible ones allowed.

You could take it out while working and put it back in when you're not working.

Depending on your location, you could probably just flip it up and no one would say anything. Just take it out when you process in.

I am going to be a server at Joe Cool Cafe and I too have my septum pierced. At previous serving jobs, I just got a clear retainer for it and flipped it up. No one ever noticed. I did end up taking it out because the piercing spent more time up my nose than down. It'd be in your best interest to take it out.

I'll say this. IF you make it past Human Resources.

I would read the 'Jewelry' portion of this document. I'd say it's not allowed period.

I would say just flip it up, but you'll be better off asking whoever hired you what they think! :)

Seriously just take it out. It would be a shame for you to show up, go to process in, and have your job offer revoked by HR because of a little bit of metal.
