Waiting in Line Activities?

I pick up the phone and call Sun Ports, whats that number Tim.

Heck my group could have built the queue covers for Dragster during media day, we just needed the tools.

my friend and i alternated between being in zombie state (TTD broke down for 20 min yesterday (sunday) right when we got to the pop machines so we got a sort of nap, we sat down and leaned against the building), telling funny stories, babe watching, watching the trains go by a million times, staring off into nowhere or at various objects, and this group of guys we passed from time to time told jokes and we joined in sometimes. i forgot to bring my cd player and/or gamboy. in doing all of this we waited 6 hours, and got terrible sunburn. but as all of you who have ridden it know...it was well worth it.

8 times dan? holy cow!

Snake River Falls 03 (newbie)
dreamcatcher is freaky!

I spent the time in line for dragster on sunday playing snake on my cell phone, playing poker on a $3 deck of millennium force cards(got out of line to go get them) and then i was in that big mob of people in line that kept yelling at the employees and just like screaming and stuff. if you were anywhere close to us you know what im talking about.

TTD Laps-2
Wait Time-8 1/2 hours

I always kick around a hacky sack. Usually with my friends. Everyone looks at us like were crazy.

Gas for drive to Cedar Point: $25
Ticket to Cedar Point: $43
Drink while in line for ride: $3
Travel 420 feet in the air: Priceless

I had my iPaq Pocket PC with me during the wait. I love how you can do anything with these things - play games, listen to MP3s, and I recorded the "siren noise" the hydraulic building makes during a launch and played it back during a few launches while in line.

I rememeber about 9 years ago going to DisneyWorld FL for the first time. There were large groups of teenagers from Brazil and Argentina who flock to the parks and we were always behind them. They sang and danced until the rides people there told them to stop, I thought it was mean. It made the time go wuicker for them and me - I was enjoying watching and listening!

Normally I people watch in line- it's always interesting.

Usually I watch people. I think in TTD's lines watching it launch made it go more fast than anything else. Keep's you intrested.
We always come up with some kind of pose to do for the on-ride pictures. I have a pic of my cousin and I in my car on MF and we look really scared (faking it, of course). People watching is also interesting. I don't wanna risk breaking my hp Jornada on rides. Plus, I guess the magnets in the Power Tower will screw up your memory. Then, the whole fact that you can't have a camera in line really bothers me. They should just have little cubbies for you to put your stuff in while you ride. Hey, I know! I could bring my old-style gameboy that's bigger than my pockets. That would get lots of looks!

What IS the air-speed velocity of an African swallow?

Our favorite waiting-in-line game: Mullet Hunter.

MF's line only had two last time.

On Sunday we called Park Ops while in line for TTD and asked how long the wait was:)..

Bop It Extreme is a definite time killer, but then there's those times where practically everyone in the queue wants to play and it doesn't work that well ;).

During our 5 hour, 45 minute Dragster wait Sunday, I timed dispatch intervals for a lot of the time, played probably ten games of 20 Questions, played a few 4-person Rock-Paper-Scissors tournaments, played a game called "Kai Bai Bo' that's kinda like Rock-Paper-Scissors, called for Pistons score updates, and took pictures of Dragster in action.

Dragster "Top Thrills": 2
World's first strata-coaster!

Rubik's cubes are good. I took mine last year and had my cousin time how long it took for me to solve it. The fastest I got was 1:55. It's amazing how many people drop their jaws (sometimes gum) and watch.

When it's good, it's very good...
When it's bad, it's wicked

I'm usually checking out the hottie on the other side of the rail in the bikini top. That fun only lasts a few minutes before she catches on though. Oh well she didnt just wear it to keep cool I guess.
I usually have my T-Mobile Sidekick with me. I can surf the web, take pictures and send them to make the folks back home jealous, e-mail and do AOL instant messaging if I want to.

In fact, last year I think I posted to GTTP while sitting in the Midway Market, having just finished a delicious lunch!

The only thing other than CP that Steelers and Browns fans agree on

Here's a game I learned last year from a bunch of Japanese kids in line for MF....

A group of people gets in a big circle, and puts their hands in the middle. somebody counts to 3, and everyone puts either 1 or 2 thumbs up, and yells out how many they think there will be, in total. It sounds like a stupid game, but everyone in the line seemed to get into it.

To me I would bring some travel games like you use in the car on those long rides. Checkers, Chess, etc...OH and Connect 4. :)
