W-2's/Tax Returns

For anyone's who's worked '02-

What part of January did you get your W-2 last year? Did they wait till the very end of January to send it to you?

Has anyone gotten theirs yet this year?

I am still waiting on mine too, I dont remember when I have gotten mine in years past.

I don't remember when CP sends out their W2's, but I just got my universities W2 form, so I would imagine that they should be sent out in no more than 2 weeks (hopefully)

They have to be sent out by the end of January (legally), and Cedar Point tends to be on the later end. Look for them in about another ten days or so, possibly a few days more depending on where you're having them sent.

Just an FYI..

W2's have started going out on the 22nd. Got mine yesterday (live in Sandusky) so the rest of you should see them either today or early next week depending on where you live.

okay, so i know i'm 21 and should know the deal about tax returns and all that fun stuff, but can someone please explain (preferably without the sarcasm and rude comments) what exactly are they for and what you're expected to do?? thanx to all that respond

I got mine yesterday.

Raptorhooka, if you go to www.irs.gov you can get the forms and instructions for tax returns. It gives pretty mush basic step by step instructions to filling it out. The tax return will check if you've paid the right tax and refund if you've paid too much (waiting for the check now ;-) ) or if you've not paid enough will ask you for more. I think.

You could also go pick up a copy of TurboTax. Enter in a few numbers and it'll output your taxes. Sign and send.

I haven't gotten mine yet, but I called HR and they said to give it like another week. Not a big deal since we won't do ours for another month (we can get a service discount if we do it in March), but I wish HR was a bit more competent -- no offense, of course.
