I have one question how old do you have to be to bid on a seat?

This is going to be a great ride to ride

I'd assume you'd have to be 18 or older..

Maybe, but can you ride if you don't place the bid?

I'm assuming whoever wins can let whoever they want ride if they are tall enough.

Did they decide the height requirement?

Guess not, i think each test they use shorter dummies, they go shorter until one falls out. i think they go by that ;)

i bet it will be a little bigger than the one that falls out to ensure that someone doesnt squirm out
Shorter people doesn't seem to be Intamin's biggest problem. It's those riders who are overweight that the company has become quite good at ejecting from its rides :oP

I doubt that they winner will get to have someone go with them since they are auctioning off 96 seats. Since 16*6=96 makes me believe all people will get to choose there seat on the train.

Wicked Twister rides: 50
Millenium Force rides: 52
Raptor rides: 26

The site says that seat choosing starts with the bidder who paid the highest amount. If you're #96, everyone else picks your seat for you (hey, but you're on the ride!! ^_^).

The amounts are not updated in real-time. Each bid is verified by the Red Cross.

I will NOT happen on media day. It will happen on opening day. It will happen before, more than likely, before the jcc members are allowed in.

I don't think that SteveHockey4 meant Media Day, I think he meant the media hoopla he anticipates on OD. The MF & WT VIP rides did happen before the gates opened to the public, and before JCC were allowed in.

My ? about the bidding is, do you have to wait until the bidding is over to know if you were one of the high bidders or not? I placed my bid and haven't heard a peep. Or is it like EBay, where they will let you know you were outbid??? I didn't read any of the fine print, I simply went to the bid page and that was it. Unlike the CP auction 3 years ago I didn't accidentially bid $15,000.00 when I meant to bid $150.00! (true story!)

I only did the VIP ride thing for TTD because I can't give blood for a year (new tat-have to wait) but wanted to do something for the Red Cross and thought this would be perfect.
