Very strange pieces now on site

Found some very odd-looking pieces laying around back by Mean Streak while at the park today. You can see them at the link below:

Maybe its for an overbanked turn, thats the best guess I have right now.

Turkeys, the only animal smarter than man

That looks like the track/support connection that is found on some Intamin coasters to reduce the noise level. Xcellerator (overbanked turns) and Californian Screaming (verticle loop) use that kind of connections.
I would say the verticle loop is a good guess
Wow, that is a weird piece...

Mark B, I think the Xcelerator noise-reducing piece you're talking about is an Intamin Isolator Pad. That weird piece ain't an isolator pad.

I'm guessing at this point that the yellow pieces are all for the tower, as most of them (except for the long straight pieces) have connectors on them at 45 degrees. This particular piece perhaps is used for something like a pulley bracket.

Well thanks Jeff for clearing up that it really helps to figure out now that it does have a tower! =o) I'm so excited now. I can't wait for the announcement... although I know once the announcement IS made that It will be one hell of a long winter for all of us watching this thing get built... If we get a webcam put on it. Do you know if we will get a cam or not like we did for Wicked Twister?

Now if only we could get some Stats on height or Speed in some sort of "spilling facts" like we usually do out of you... Maybe you could make it something easily overlooked that people wouldnt notice... like... "I have to go to an appointment at 4:38' "or how ever tall it is or speed or what not.. =o) would be nice...

I don't recall Jeff "spilling facts" about the height or speed of Wicked Twister... nor VertiGo for that matter.

Could it be for a loop? This is not mentioned too often but I think it is something that CP could add. Not to mention this is what I have heard most recently. Any thoughts?
Im not saying he has spilled them before... Small facts like this new ride having a tower... he spilled that... he spilled that its going to have a pulley for the launch mechanism... so he has spilled facts... but height and speed facts would be appreciated even though I know he wouldnt give them.
Is it just me or does that piecs look an a lot like this one?

whatever it is, it isn't for a loop, since this ride will have no inversions. is my thinking.

What I find interesting is the long support(s?) out behind Mean Streak that have the two I-Beam looking things running along it's side. What purpose does these I-Beams serve? Maybe I'll have vid caps up tonight to show what I mean.

Another intersting I saw yesterday is that a pull through form is sitting behind the "Arrow" shop inside Mean Streak. Looks like the one that was used for SRF because this thing was wide. Probably just housecleaning, but kind of interesting.

Also, anything anyone says about this ride is just speculation at this point based on other Intamin projects out there. Just because Jeff says that the supports are for the tower doesn't necessarily mean it's definitely going to be like Xcelerator. MF and WT both use similar parts for their "towers".

Just trying to keep an open mind until an announcement, although it's pretty bloody obvious what's going on,

Not to come across as an ass Scott, but I think you're describing the same pieces that I mentioned at the beginning of this thread. Check the link to the photo I posted for confirmation.

We're not talking about the same pieces. They're similar, but different. There is now also a large long support with the same "attachment" running along it's side. I've got video of this new support. I'm going to try to get a frame capture uploaded tonight.

hmmm, could it just be an additional bracket for a maintenance ladder?

Could we all be speculating just a little to much?

YES

I fool so feelish...

Like I said Scott...was just checking :o)

Maybe the I-beams will continue all the way down the tower to ask as rails for a service vehicle? Not so much for evacuation purposed, but rather for maintenance issues?

Not to change the subject or anything, but if you go back and click on the link in oUluvDT2's post, notice the curve in the track piece sitting on the ground. Now compare them to the track pieces seen behind MS. T-452 (big D) will be going pretty fast if the curvature of those pieces is so light!

Just think about going up MF's drop, just 100 feet taller. The pull up is going to have to have an even larger radius.

How do you know that it's for a pullout either from or to vertical? It could just as well be a piece of overbank.
