Very Random Millennium Question

^ LOL!! That was actually pretty funny. I have to agree the "theme" on Maverick is pretty loose. But, for Cedar Point it's pretty good. I was VERY impressed with the station. But, like you said, the rest of the theme looks nice, but isn't nearly as cohesive as it could have been. I think they need a good story teller on their P&D staff. Theme is all about the story.

I think that once the vegetation matures some (say in about 10 years), Maverick will fit in quite nicely. That said, I agree with Tim - the station is amazing.

I was being sarcastic in my post somewhat (see above). ;)

But to be honest, no, the water bombs were not working on closing day, which unfortunately was our only trip to the Point this season. Or the mist/fog in the tunnel. I actually throuroughly enjoyed Maverick.

I agree 100% with Tim on this one. The station looks great, but aside from that...well...I think it's kindve sad when your 3-D rendering is more scenic than the actual ride. My point is, you are supposedly the number one theme park in the world, installing a signature ride from the top manufacturer in the world. Now that I am older and have been too other parks, my expectations, if a park is going to attempt a them, have been raised significantly. The ride of Mav is a home run, but the attempt a theming once again leaves a little to be desired.

That said, I dont go to CP looking for theming.

One thing that isn't mentioned are all the weeds in Maverick's ride area. They actually meant it to look like that.

One thing I didn't see in the queue was a bunch of tumbleweed. Wouldn't that be something else? That'd sure fit the theme! :)

*ba dum crash*

To bad they couldn't have put a few cacti in. And with that ride, you wont want much vegetation other than grasses and smaller shrubs. The wild west [as i see it in my mind] didn't have to many big trees. I think dusty, sandy, small tan/light green plants.

And weren't they doing audition for a cowboy or something from the west? whats going on with that?

But seriously, there was some tumbleweed in and around my school earlier this year. Weird.
