Vekoma

Just to chime in on the SLC thing. I have 5 on my track record and thought SFWOA's was the worst by a decent margin. A few were decent enough, Wild Adventures was actually good - but Serial Thriller was downright horrible.

You obviously haven't been on T2 at SFKK Gonch.

That is by far worse than Serial Thriller.

ST is one of the smoothest SLC's I have been on. T2 (SFKK), Kong (SFMW), ME (SFDL), ME (SFEG) to name a few hang-and-bangs are much rougher. I don't see X-Flight being dismantled in the near future. Think about it, the flying coaster is still a novelty ride. As for the falling-out-of-your-harness feeling, isn't that part of the thrill? The restraints are lighter to give you a more free feeling.

.. and lets not forget the migraine headache that alot of people have complained about because of that loop.

Not to give anyone a hard time, but I think the reason for a flyer is to have an open flying feeling. Of course you are going to feel like you're going to fall out! It's an intense ride, something you can't get on a lot of other rides. Never realized people thought X-Flight was 'this extreme'. Bruises? Wow...

That is why I hope Geauga Lake has free Ibuprofin at First Aid, just like Cedar Point. To be honest, I used to get headaches at the Point, and had to have Ibuprofin to keep riding. Now I think I know what my body can take a little better, and make sure I am hydrated, and I try not to push myself to do extreme rides when I can't handle them.

Back to topic, the extreme forces of that loop are one of the things I like about X-Flight (grammer?). It gives the coaster some personality.

Also, since Vekoma used Arrow trains for many years, and their track was like Arrow's, could their stuff really be that different from what was one of the greatest coaster manufacturers of all time? (Magnum XL-200!)

Vanessa: I know many people of varied heights & weights who had the same feeling of falling out like we did. My teenage daughters who are tall and thin felt like they would fall out, but they loved that feeling!

Guy's Isn't a lil fear and adrenaline rush what riding coasters is all about? I'm 6 ft and around 235 lbs and after the first time I rode X-flight, I always went no handed after that. Sure you're scared as all heck when you makle the initial roll at the top of the lift, but I'll let you in on a little secret. When you go down the first hill without holding on (only the restraining bar and harness holding you in) you come up and make close to a 90 degree turn to the right. If you look left at the bottom of the first hill and put your arms to the left as well at that same time, you shoot over to the right and you feel like what I can only describe as superman flying. The wait can be long, but in my opinion it's a great ride. They should have called that one superman instead!!!!!!! Can't wait to see what CF does with this park
