Valleyfair Trip

I know through reading some previous posts that you guys went to Dorney last year.  Have you guys ever gone to Valleyfair?  The reason I ask is that we're (VF employees) going to try and get a coach this year and head out there.  (Whenever there is ERT at CP I gotta get there)

Other than to shop at the Mall of America, visit the MN State Fair or just visit CoastaPlaya :P I have no idea why any CPers would organize a trip to VF.

DP has a large, pretty waterpark, coasters unique to the CF chain (Lazer, Thunderhawk) and is close to interesting East Coast cities like Philly or NYC.  KBF is just too far away but would be fun.  MA is tiny, but has a good-sized waterpark and is close to the coast of Lake Michigan.

Of the sister parks to visit from CP, VF would have to be the last on the list.  WoF would be second-to-last, but at least the waterpark is large.  VF's water park is tiny and cramped and the park's best attractions too similar to CP's..especially for a 680-mile trip.

But if anyone DID organize a trip, I'd sure want to be the first to know...

I can see a trip to MA because it's only about 6 hours away from Cedar Point but as far as a Valley Fair trip, i don't see that happening because it would take at least 2 days to drive out there and back and there is no way CP is going to give us that much time off at once.

It's only an 11-hour ride...I can drive that distance by myself.  Standing on my head. Seriously.
It would only be 9 if not for Wisconsin and their 65 MPH speed limit.  WHY?!?!? I can drive through the suburban Twin Cities at 70 all day, but only 65 through absolutely nothing but trees and cud-chewing-cows and overweight Packer fans chomping on cheese and sausage and beer and deep-frying whole turkeys in big buckets of boiling fat. Oh yeah--and speed traps.  Lots and lots of speed traps.
I swear the state slogan should be "Wisconsin...we're in the freakin' way!"

PS - Before this gets nuked...I have no beef with the fine people of Wisconsin--not even during Vikings-Packer games--save for the half-witted ones who set the speed limit.

I actually know who you are, I think. I worked with Matt Johnson from night trash, and I eventually finished out the season, living with Scott Gearheart after he transfered to night trash in July.. You might know me as Chris.

Well, we're (VF employees) are taking a bus all the way from Minnesota to CP.  I was just wondering if any of you folks have any desire to visit Valleyfair?

I do want to visit VF. I might have an opportunity to visit VF and the Mall of America in May myself. I'll have to double check days.

No, I'm not poundcake. I'm tall with brown hair. I usually hung around matt and helped him process out.  I don't really know you.  I just know who you are.  I saw you around and such.

Being on a bus for 11 hours is nothing just remember that would only be an hour and a half more or so than the Dorney trip besides not all of us from Sandusky are Crazy!
