Arrived around 3 on Friday afternoon. My sister and her fambly arrived shortly after me at a different CP resort (1st bad sign that SNAFU was in the works). They were staying at Breakers and we (me & brother and fambly) were staying at Breakers Express.
Friday night actually went great. It was busy, but OK. Got in a ride on ID and MF and did the Fright Zone. THAT was awesome! CP did a GREAT job with Halloweekends 2003, in this first timer's opinion. Also saw the Monster's of Rock show (and The Magician's show)and really enjoyed it (and the LaBatt's). Not much riding on Friday night, but I didn't think that there would be. We would save that for Saturday.
Other than running into CPLady, Saturday was a total disaster. The park was BUSY. No, not busy. It was like a Saturday in July (on Crack) BUSY! We waited for our ride on TTD (my first) at opening. Actually, the wait was not that bad for Resort guests in the morning. An hour and a half, and I was on That Damn Thing.
Wow. There are no other words to describe it. You know that if you have ridden it. WOW.
The park was getting packed after we got off That Damn Thing, so we wandered around looking for something to ride with less than a 2 hour wait. Nothing found. We decided to head back to the resort and let the kids swim and the adults consume adult beverages.
Fast foreward to Sunday. A day of CP BLISS. Most rides were a walkon this morning (I even got a chance to say "HI" to Raptor Jo!). We rode everything that we wanted to and it started to get nuts again around 1 in the afternoon. I even had my first stop at Midway Market (because of this board) and agree, it is the best value in the park for food! Real nice!
All in all, twas a great visit. Except for that Saturday mob, that is. See ya next year!
