I realize that Adam, but there has still been some debate over it... but perhaps that debate wasn't here.

The front of the train looks like a cow-catcher to me. Granted its not an overly elaborately themed train like Woodstock Express, but its still looks as much like a train as I could expect an Intamin train to look like it.

If impaling cows are a concern for this ride, I'm not getting on it.
My author website: mgrantroberts.com.
Steam-Era styled does not mean they will be exact replicas of trains. First off, they're being styled based upon a period of time, and a period of time, as train is not.
It's like furniture. If you wanted to do your living room in country/mission style, you wouldn't plant a corn field.
Well, it is an Intamin, so that takes care of the problem of cows getting near it.
(Sorry, couldn't resist the obvious)

For a ride as "themed" as Maverick is, those trains are WEAK in the "steam-era style". We know Intamin can make nice looking trains (TTD) so I would've liked to see more. I'm still hoping the real ones look nicer than the renderings.
It's not making the trains that's the problem. It's keeping the theming from falling off that is not so good. :)

From what I've heard, Speed Monsters trains still have their theming on.:P
