Updates?

I'm just wondering how many updates of Maverick are we going to get for the off-season? We have not had one in over a month.

Are you talking OnPoint updates or Pointbuzz updates?

The park is closed right now, meaning its very difficult for anyone to get near the site to be able to get pictures. I'm sure Walt will get us an update at some point, but I think he has a wife and a kid or something crazy like that.

They'll come around when they come around. You won't die if you don't have an update, right? :)

I don't know Josh, I've been gasping for air recently... :)

Maybe you should go up there with your killer lens for your camera and just take pics across the lake. ;)

I could, but that requires time away from the gym. ;)

The sad part is, I'm serious.

is perimeter road closed off during the off season

Right now? Probably since its been ripped up to install new electrical lines. Normally its not closed, but it is private property and you could be charged with trespassing.

Yeah, how else is josh going to look all pretty in those preppy clothes he models? ;)

By having Jen stand next to him.

Anyone can look good with her in the picture.

;)

Dude, give me a break. If you and me stood on either side of her we'd definitely make the picture full of ugmo ;)

JuggaLotus's avatar

Hey, speak for your half of the picture. I think mine would look damn good. Especially if we can use like a wall or something for me to stand behind.

;)

I guess this is a good a thread as any to put this in. No reason to start yet another thread, but there is a continuation of the Maverick Video.

Its a good thing their logo is of a horse. LOL!! Then again, branding of a ride is irrelevant, so I guess they could've put a cactus as their logo and been just as good. :)

In one of the earlier videos, didn't they infer that Maverick was a horse they were trying to catch? I'm confused.

Its really too bad they didn't make the trains actually look like trains like they said they were going to.

JuggaLotus's avatar

When did they say the trains would look like trains?

Since the first announcement they've had a rendering of the trains on the Maverick site.

Guests will begin their adventurous journey on Maverick by boarding steam-era-styled coaster trains with an ultra-sleek profile that will carry them along the 4,450-foot-long course.
