Fighting a stiff wind, gray sky, and a mysterious focus problem with the camera, I still managed to get some good pictures. Not a lot has changed since last month and not a lot is expected to change next month. So, unless something happens, don't look for another Skyhawk update before March.

I thought that it wouldn't work with its surroundings when we first found out its color scheme, but I didn't think it would stick out this much. It looks about as out of place as a pedophile at a nursing home.
I hope I didn't offend any child molestors or those in the geriatric community with my post...

unless those trees meet Barry Bonds for some roids and do serious growing this ride is going to stick out lke a sore thumb... It's nice thouh that there are doing something with this area even know it does stick out. Hopefully the white water landing site will get the correct ride and look for frontier town. I love roller coasters but it is nice to have that peaceful area to hang out for a while to get away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the park
I agree (and I know there are those who will disagree), and I've said it before--I do think it sticks out too much.
I'm pleased to see they are theming the compressor room to look like the Mine Ride (although I fear there will be ugly, out-of-place garage doors on the front of the building), but I wish they would have decided to theme the ride structure itself.
I think they could have made the tower look like an old mine tipple or old-fashioned drilling rig or something--or at least have toned down the paint to make it look like a large wooden swing set, etc.
But that's just me.
Thanks for the pics, Walt.
Great update Walt.
And this is just me but it almost looks as if you can see the boom of a crane...a very big crane...right above the Museum's roof in this midwayvision: http://www.pointbuzz.com/midwayvision/skyhawkmv7.jpg
Though I think it's just a suspicious looking branch.:)

It looks too thin for a crane arm, but it is far away so...
