David Chapp was kind enough to send in a couple of aerial photos of the Maverick site taken on November 25:

Sorry for the big delay. The last two months have been full of all kinds of trials and tribulations.

Visited the in-laws huh? ;)

Nice update. Finally someone else (besides Walt) sprung for the airplane rental costs.

[Borat] Its a very nice! [/Borat]:)

Those flags really arent new, theyve been there for a while......infact, they should be gone since they were there to mark the new electrical line.

Nooo.... the electrical line is on Perimeter Rd.

I'm talking about the flags in and around the antique cars as seen here:

Those two colored (coloured for the canadian freaks) each mean something

Blue = water line

Red = old indian burial site

just in case you were wondering.

I know the electrical line follows Perimeter Rd, but doesnt it go into the park at a certian point....like at or after Millenniums overbank??? I could have sworn seeing the flags in a straight line from one end of AC to the other leading up to the old WWL station....

Look at AC and youll see what I mean.

Funny thing is, in that same picture, you can see that perimeter rd is torn up all the way to Maverick. I belive the AC markers are for something else. At the "North East Ohio ACE Holiday Party" last Saturday, Tony stated that the electrical line was going all the way back on Perimeter Rd.

Hmmm, yeah I guess so. Perhaps it's just something for the future.

On another note, I wonder what those red looking metel things are by the first heartline turn?

Most likely shell structure for the "rock formations" the coaster will go through.

Yeah, that makes sense.

I believe part of line leads there for future use, and rest of it continues to Maverick.

The Tiques are totally torn up in that aeriel. For what and from where I don't know. But, Adam has a great eye. :)

Thank you VERY MUCH to everyone involved with this update. :)

I can't believe how far the Mav site looks from a year ago. Gee, it was just rubble from WWL and now the bright rust track and tan colored supports. Great pics from everyone!

Yes, Thank You!

But I'm stumped on why they haven't started some of the themeing. They have had quite a good break with the weather and not much is happing (in front of the scenes anyway).

I'm sure some of it has to do with the Pull through (?) of the trains on the track.

Answer: You don't...

I'm sure they worry more about the ride being done and opening on time than the themeing. It'll come, but I doubt it's a huge priority at this point.
