These are almost before and after views.

Thanks for the pictures Walt. The Midway Vision photos show how much room there actually is in that area.

Walt,

Quick question, did you guys have the midwayvisions by chance, or did you know what was coming and had pictures ready?

I'm with you there. Either Walt took a lot of pictures of the whole area, he guessed, he had a better idea of what it was, or he knew! Though, I don't really care about it, as long as I get to view them.

My guess is that Walt has photographed every area of the whole park several times over. I don't think he new what was going in that area when he took those pics.

But, I could be wrong.

I think it's pretty darn obvious that Walt and Jeff knew what we were getting next year and it's location.

I think all the dots showing up on the midway was a good indication to take pictures of that area. I got a few of my own on closing weekend.

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

Come on, CP4eva. These guys are big fans of the park, not the CEO's. We all read the rumors of a giant huss months ago. Are they "insiders"? Yes. Do they know what the park's expansion plans are? I'd guess not. I'd bet real money that Walt did NOT hear what was going to happen for 2005 and rush out to take pics of the area. He had them on file.

Again, I could be wrong.

That's an awful lot of pictures of such a location to simply have "on file." I remember Walt mentioning he had recently taken some pictures of the future attraction area; he also said in regards to the location something along the lines of "it's pretty obvious", most likely referring to the markers.

Of course, no one could tell you better than the guy himself.

Well if he "Knew" that a Giant Frisby was coming then I dont think he would of taken pics of that area but thats just me.

101 on Magnum and counting...

Well! After looking at the 'before' pics I think I can tell what that funny brown hut is in the rendering.

It's just the structure over the Pepsi/candy machines!!

What's the difference on who knew what and when? Bottom line, you guys know where to go when you want Cedar Point news, information and great discussion. That's all that matters. Besides, no one is asking tambo what he knew.

For the record, all of the pictures above were taken on closing day. It is certainly my goal to have the entire park covered like I do above - but I'm not there yet!

It really makes no difference, Walt But I thought you would have had the entire park covered by now. You really don't? Just what haven't you photographed?

Well, I have photos of every attraction, yes. Lots. It's never enough, though - I'm strange like that. It all comes down to history. Ten years from now I know that I can pull up pictures of the Silver Dollar.

But, really, my ultimate goal is to cover the park in those MidwayVision views. I would, like you said, love to be able to pull anything out of the archive if I needed picture of something. That's what I'll need to work on next season. Good thing I'm digital. :)

How much? ;)

I'm just stating something obvious. There's no reason to make a big deal of it. I have complete respect for Walt and Jeff, and I really do like it that they don't tell us what's going in next year. It's not only their obligation, but also their commitment to the park not to tell us. *** Edited 12/3/2004 12:44:51 AM UTC by CP4eva*** *** Edited 12/3/2004 12:46:06 AM UTC by CP4eva***

Sigh. I'm still not sure why you guys are fascinated with this. I hate talking about this subject.

MrScott is right, except for already having the photos on file. Do we hear about things that others don't? Sure, sometimes. Does Cedar Point invite us to sit in on their planning meeting because we run a Cedar Point web site? Of course not. Have I ever been told something and then asked not to repeat it? Maybe. Was maXair project one of those? No. Have I been around the block enough to distinguish between rumors and make some educated guesses? Yes.

For the record, I didn't get the press release until 5 minutes before you read it here.

Ah, I see. I guess I've been proved wrong. No problem. Thank you Walt. Great photos by the way, as usual.

CP4eva, I think we bet $100.00. Just donate my winnings to the Hospice group in your area. They could use it well, I'm sure.
