TC was just a little off.

It should have read, most OPERATING coasters. Then technically they are tied.

Not only would it take a while, but it would most likely cost a lot!!

I see Mean Streak remaining and the new coaster going the OTHER direction.

Well, right now, CP has only 16 coasters. MM has 17 (1 SBNO) so they have 16. Right now, they are tied. However, next year, barring some miraculous recovery by Flashback, CP will once again take the lead.

You mean the media's story that they are going to be closed?

I give that as much validation as I do the story about CF moving all their corporate offices to Charlotte.

hmmm... this also leaves the question of... Is Superman: The Escape really a roller coaster?????? If not, then MM only has 15 coasters (flashback is not considered in the count as long as its SBNO). Superman is officially recognized as a coaster, but i still dont think so (not that my opinion really matters).

I'm going to check out some things this Saturday when I go. I'll see if I can use my charm on a couple of workers to get some information, then I'll post it on here. If you guys are right, and they make plans a couple of years ahead of time to decide on building a coaster (per Mr. Kinzel), then a 500-foot coaster shouldn't be out of discussion by 2010. Which means that the guy I spoke to at CP last year may not have been all the way incorrect. Let's hope for a 500- footer by 2010!

lol You better have some pretty good charm because I doubt they'll say anything more than a "Hi" and a "Sorry, I cant disscuss anything about this."......given you acually talk to someone who knows.:)

Whats really wierd, is that they could have the whole ride completed before the off-season.

I still think that this is only the first half of the ride, or it could be a very high (not saying 500 but it could) veritcal lift hill. But I'm more stuck on the fact that its just the begining.

Some of you are saying that Wave Swinger will be moved and that one round building will be demolished, does that mean the end of the Antique Cars future? I still love riding those cars and would hate to see them go. My opinion is that they should maybe close it for this year, but maybe re-route it next year.
