Update: July 5

Hmm, well the other day the crane was gone from the staging area. Perhaps this is the same crane.... This is quickly getting exciting!

This makes my trip in less than a month even more exciting!

I suppose the question is, are these new supports, delivered directly to the site, or existing supports moved over from the Breakers site?

If they are new, it may only mean the ride site is ready to become its own staging area.

If they are moved over, I would think that means it's time to build something.

I don't know the look of the Breakers staging area well enough, but I'll bet there were enough supports on-site to make a dent in the off-site stockpile - if that's where they came from.

Whoo, I'm going in a few days!! This trip will be the greatest if they have some supports up or start putting them up when I go.:)

Hopefully I'll get to see some things going vertical when I go next Thrusday.

I think we'll start to see some of the placement of track/supports that goes over water first. Nothings like working with water in the middle of January on the Point...

the water on site is all in "man-made" areas though. so, they'll drain anything (or just not fill it up) before they start working with those footings. i'm sure they only filled up the swam pond to make it look "finished" for the guests. that's all.

The real question is....were any of these supports on site placed underwater? ;)

I think the first supports up may be on the footers in the Swan Boat pond. They were attempting to drain it on the Fourth, but it seems they were having some trouble with the pump.

Based on what I've seen over the past week and a half, I'd have to agree with you... or atleast they're definitely trying to drain the pond.

They can build 400 foot monster coasters but they can't drain a pond efficiently. Hmmmm...

I'm great at draining ponds, but I'm pretty sure I'd have some learning to do when it comes to building coasters...I guess it just depends on your specialty. It's not hard if you know how to do it.

I've never tried draining a pond, but I'm sure if you filled that pond with beer, I'd find a way to drain it. I'd find a really good place to store it, too. ;)

Now, building a coaster, on the other hand.... Been there, done that.
