Sorry about the bad video link. It's working now. :)
And to awnser the Thunder Canyon Question, I took the pictures in the morning. The TC crew was just showing up as I finished with my pictures.

Jason, is there any way that you could compile it to make it easier for those of us not privileged enough to have DSL?:(
R.I.P. Mr. Scott
Haha, not privelaged to have DSL! I've had CHSI since '02!!
Okay, bragging over. It's nice to see the progress that is taking place at the Point with not being able to get there often at all. Thanks!
I know the feeling dude, my average this year for this season has been like once or twice a month. All though I have managed to squeeze in like 6 trips this year. Ok now I have a question. Where would this big hugh support be going? That one looks like the biggest so far. And it only looks like one is here on site right now unless they've bolted it to the support.http://www.pointbuzz.com/Gallery.aspx?i=4910
If I get the time, I'll try to do it tonight.
DSL is nearly the same price as dial up though. Unless your using Net Zero. In which case, I'm sorry. ;)

is the track being moved from the staging area? or from off site? anyone have ideas? or actually.. anyone have the answer? Jk..
Greg
Oh that reminds me. I tried doing a count on the pieces of track again. Which seems to be more difficult with every passing day.
110 pieces in the staging area and 3 on site. Based on an inaccurate pace off the pieces are about 30 feet long.
113 x 30' = 3390' of track as of 8-13-06
<EDIT>
I forget what exactly the person said, but you can tell if it is new track being delivered or track from the staging area based on the truck dropping it off.
But i forget which truck meant what.

I don't think it's for magnetic brakes. If it where it would have those fittings on both sides.
I was referring to the one to the right, if you look back at my post. http://s63.photobucket.com/albums/h123/nmleyes/?action=view¤t=4920-2.jpg&refPage=&imgAnch=imgAnch1
The small holes (arrows) look like they are where the magnetic fins bolt to the track (like on dragster). They have a different spacing than the holes in the similar piece that has been decided by many to be a LIM track: http://www.pointbuzz.com/Gallery.aspx?a=499
I'm not saying it's conclusive, just that it appears that way to me. As for the other piece, a catwalk is the first thing that crossed my mind.

Yes finally they're putting up track. Now is the time to see if our "guesses" are right. (i think) (?)
^^ I like those little yellow circles. They're pirty.

Maverick perhaps? I wanna RIDE ON.
Just looking at the placement and general flow of the supports that have been erected, this coaster is looking like a steel version of Mean Streak, only more spread out, and probably less rough ;). MS also does not have a LIM launch (not saying that P2007 is going to have one for sure, but i think the general consensus is that it will).
I'm sure this has been mentioned before in the million 2007 threads on here, but this was a thought that just popped into my head and i figured to share it.
Hail to the Victors
I'm very surprised they are hanging track this early. I thought we wouldn't see any of that until like 1st week of September. This means we'll get a good idea of what kind of twists and turns and if this coaster will have a launch for sure or a general Chain lift.

The things that you circled are track pieces that will have magnetic brakes attached to them. Look at the left of the piece, the slits are there for where the brake fins are put in. The other picture that doesn't have the slits on the side is for an LIM or LSM launch as was figured out around a month ago when the first piece showed up.
Ride Count at Dorney Park so far this year:
Hydra: 14 Laser: 3 Steel Force: 11 Talon: 18 Thunderhawk: 4
And that's just in 23 hours!
