No, I WANTed a floorless. But since Intamin doesn't make a floorless model, my next choice is an aquatrax because I see that as being the next stage of family flume rides. It's a family coaster with the soaking ability of a flume ride (a little wet, but not SRF wet).
I would really hate to have them tear out a family ride just to put in a ride that only the coaster fans are going to ride. However at this point I can't say that it IS an aquatrax, but that is still a possibility. I can't say there aren't loops, but looking at the track right now doesn't mean there ARE loops.

I've heard some suggest the tracks are tan, but unless my monitor is just really off (which I doubt considering every other color looks right), they look very grey/silver to me. Not thrilled with the color choice, but it's a pretty good "looking" combo. I just think CP's paint decisions lately severely lack originality. I also agree that ID's color change is making a lot more sense now... though changing it to the garish colors it is now will always be a horrible and senseless move in my opinion. Oh well. As long as the ride is fun, who cares what color it is I guess.
Take care and God bless!
After seeing them with my own eyes, I assure you, they are tan colored supports. The closest match I can come up with is the supports on the pull up on TTD-I think this might be about the right color to describe it.

Jugga your right it might not be a looper. But it is the most logical to me from what I have seen.

Jeff Young I think I love you. And thats saying a lot because I'm definatly not gay.
I seriously hope someone catches the sarcasm. I just think that Jeff Young takes really good pictures.

New Season of 'The Office'. TONIGHT!!!
Thanks for the pictures Jeff.
I don't know why, but this picture tells me it will have a launch. Maybe it's because it is because the top piece that connectes to the track is slightly angled from the resting points of the support.

Does anyone think that cap looking thing might be for filling sand into the support? I know that it's done to soften the noise of the coaster.....but is Intamin doing it to all their new coasters because so far the only coasters I know that have sand filled supports are launcher coaster like Stealth, Storm Runner, Rita, Kanonen and Superman: Escape.
Dont misunderstand me, Im not suggesting this is going to be a launch coaster. Just curious......

I think Adam was talking about the little round plug up on the beam not the cap on the end of the beam.

CPGuru, I'm not sure how that piece means it will have a launch. And there is no way to tell which piece attaches to the track and which to the footer, it could be that this is one support for two sections of track that swing close to each other.
CP4Eva'04 - The piece on TTD is squared, not angled. And there is quite a bit of separation between the "legs". The piece is in the staging area looks nothing like the one on TTD.

John, I can bet all the money I have (Not that much, being a college student ;) ) that the peice will not be supporting two track peices right next to each other.
1) Like you said, they are too close to each other.
2) The side with the two ends has a larger diameter than the side with the one end. Intamin is not going to have a smaller diameter to support two track peices.
The reason I saw it being a launched coaster and not a lift coaster is because it is slightly inclined and not at 35-45 degrees (like on a lift) But then again, it could be a declining track for the brakes.
I am just saying that when I saw that picture, a launch coaster came to mind. I did not say it was for sure.
I think they explain why we have two sets of footers next to each other everywhere. Not that it will be a launcher, or a dueling.

Someone asked how they were delivered. I saw some other pictures that showed the supports still in an enclosed trailer. I was quite surprised to see the amount of supports stacked and lodged into the trailer. This could perhaps explain why there are some visible scratches on a few supports in the pictures posted here.
I think this clearly shows why Iron Dragon was painted...
Iron Dragon was painted because it was very faded and needed paint.
I'd hate to think it was painted with leftover colors/paint, though.

This support looks exactly the same, but it doesn't have to be a launch it could just be for a straight piece of track anywhere throughout the ride/

I personally think it's very intresting that they have been planing this for years. I know that they do that with all of the coasters, but the fact that they already had the colors for Project 2007 picked out way back when they painted over Iron Dragon.
When they start vertical construction we can see if there are similarities between this and TTD if it's going to be a launch coaster or if the makings of a lift hill are coming together. Also it could have a lift hill and launch like some here have said it will.
I don't know anything for sure I'm just going off what I see. Unfortunatly I can't just take a leisurly drive up to CP and look at the construction sit and staging area. Because I live all the way in Dallas I just see the pictures and read the forums. I think only time will tell and I'm sure we will all be happy with the finished product. Wow that was long, but I had to say it.
New Season of 'The Office'. TONIGHT!!!
does anyone else think that it seems like there are 2 of the same supports? I know that they all look alike and will be just a little diferent between each

.
omg are you people serious? I doubt that they had the colors planned out that early...some of you are looking into these things too closely...like Mr Scott said "Iron Dragon was painted because it was very faded and needed paint". Not because headquarters was sitting around saying "hmmm...ya know...that new ride were building 3 or 4 years from now is gonna have the exact same color scheme as Iron Dragon....George...send someone up there to CP and have the slap on some new colors on Iron Dragon...I cant have two rides with the same color scheme" and even if that was the case...why would they have painted it so early to the building of the new ride in 2007? Why wouldnt they have waited till sometime around now or next season? not three or four years in advance....Dont get me wrong here...Im not here to bash on people I just cant stand it when we make ignorant suggestions...."I heard they've planning the building of project 2007 since they layed the first footer of Switchback Railway"...c'mon people....
I've been hearing some stuff from the Lemon Chill guy lately, you wanna hear what he told me?
