Snoopy Rocks! On Ice starts June 22--Do you think they'll let me drive the Zamboni machine?
I want to drive the Zamboni!
There's nothing rough about it. However, like any inverter, if you crane your neck out you're asking for trouble.
One consideration about popularity... if they're not sending out empty seats, it doesn't matter how long the lines are. Raptor always has a longer line than Magnum but year after year they give a similar number of rides.

Chris, I've never heard anyone say they were "disappointed" in Wicked Twister...but I have seen many people notice the rear tower sway and then decide not to ride it.

If you're like me and you think Cedar Point should get the B/M Flyer in 2004, give me a "Hell Yeah!"
Today, Memorial Day I waited 20 minutes for Twister, the sign said 1 hour wait. HA!. I've learned to trust those signs about as far as I can through them (which isn't very far, they look heavy). I rode with a girl who's entire family was to afraid to go on. They were standing near the exit watching with crazy looks on there faces thinking she was insane. That's one real nice thing about the ride is that Plaza were the non-riders can watch. I went to Millie Force right after that and waited about an hour with a 20 minute break down.
Still it will pull high numbers because there won't be any empty seats. Not anything compared to Raptor or Magnum which but whatever the operating hours are times capacity. I am going to guess Twister will pull in 1.2 million guest this year.

Force Laps: 428
Wicked Twists: 57
The sign should say "approximate wait from this point, give or take an hour ;)" One thing that may be hard to do is account in the freeway users which could show up at any time. When or If the Freeway numbers are bumped up it will become even tougher to get a correct approximation.

Yeah, but everone using the freeway system seems to gets there right at the begining. If someone entered the standby line right before the top of the hour thier line would almost stop as the freeway users get in. If only there was a beter way to disperse the freeway users....
Still I guess it would not affect the judgment of the line by that much. 100 people an hour would only add about 3 trains (6 min) to the line which is nothing compared to the 40 minutes it was off yesterday.

MagnumFAN is back! But now he's a ShoelessRider!
Wow... Wasted. Harsh, man.
After riding WT, I can honestly say that it IS better than S:UE or V2 (and many of my friends think I love V2 waaay too much), but I can see the 'local' crowd figuring that it is the same ride as the aforementioned coasters. Nothing against the locals, but the two rides look pretty darn similar. From personal experience, I can tell you that I've been to four Six Flags parks with a B:TR clone (SFGAm, SFMM, SFoT, and SFGAd) and have only actually ridden Batman at one park (SFGAm) because I never felt the urge to do it at other parks where I could be riding unique coasters.
All of the impulses seem more like enthusiast rides than anything. They're basically a freak show to begin with, and many mild coaster fans, who would ride coasters such as Gemini or Blue Streak aren't going to be touching the thing. Quite honestly, it looks more intimidating than Millennium Force too.
I can also see the argument of location. I'm guessing it is pretty popular among the hotel guests, though. :) (I assume the entrance over there is still going, I can't seem to remember.) Maybe someone can back me up here and lay down some facts about Giant Wheel ridership over the last few years, and how it has differed since the move.
Quickly, and somewhat OT, I'm not sure CP would put in a wooden coaster only 2 years after Villain and SOB, and a little south of the relatively young Shivering Timbers. I know that parks plan yeearrrss in advance (and yes, they did put in WT right after WoA graced us with S:UE) but I'm guessing that the timing just wasn't right for a new wooden coaster, and I can certainly make a case that adding a completely extreme, intense 'freak show' (there's that phrase again) of a ride was really good for CP, which doesn't have one of those yet. (Unless you count MF, but that's more of a height draw...)
