I have been to cedar point before, but i normally go to kings island simply because i live closer. I will however be making the trek up to cedar point again this thursday. I know at kings island that they have the unlimited drink wristband, and from searching on here i see i think that you have the same thing, but i cant any more details other than that. Are there only certain places where you can use it? do you have to be a platinum pass holder ? (I am, by the way) and if you are one can you buy the wristband for people that are not pass holders or just one per pass? Also, unrelated but are there any other meal deals or special deals that are for passholders that are not listed on the point perks thing on the official website besides this one?
There's nothing in the Point Perks listing about unlimited drinks, and I have never heard of anything like that. I'm not sure where you searched and found this. Even searching the CP website turns up nothing.
I do know you can buy one of the souvenir cups and refill it for a nominal fee, but that's about it.

then maybe this guy just doesnt have a clue and assumed cedar point was the same as kings island in terms of meal deals? Maybe they dont have them...

^^If you have a Platinum Pass, there's UNLIMITED (yes...no limit!!) drinks for only $6.99 all day longwith no cups or anything to continuously schlep around!! (it's awristband that you buy)
Other than that one comment, I haven't seen anything about the wristbands being available at Cedar Point. There's no mention of them anywhere on cedarpoint.com, and I didn't see any evidence of it yesterday at the park, so I'm guessing this isn't available at CP. Your best bet would be to contact the park to confirm.
well it is the same way with kings island, you cant find mention of it anywhere or signs or anything, it literally just began mid-season and the only way i knew was kicentral forums.... I think i may just give cedar point a call, unless someone tells me something definitive before i get a chance.
The season pass wristband details for Kings Island are listed right on their main website under Upcoming Events at http://www.pki.com/. It also features their teaser screen for their supposedly huge new 2009 coaster that will more than likely take up a good chunk of Cedar Fair's capital expenditure budget for next season. No new coaster for CP until at least 2010 which is OK; I need a reason to visit KI next year anyway. :-)
Here's the note from KICentral:
- Unlimited Drinks All Day – Enjoy your day with an ice coldCoca Cola… or two or three. Include with the price of KICentral: TheSecond Coming will be an unlimited drink wristband which allows forFREE fountain drinks all day long!
This sounds like it is just with the KICentral event at Kings Island. This is not a regular thing.

i called cedar point, and asked them about it. The lady was confused, but i told her about kings island doing it and she was like oh it may be new let me check, and came back to say that they do not have it at cedar point. Bummer, cause i totally would have bought it instead of buying premade koolaid mix in the jars to mix with the free waters like i normally do... Thanks for all your guys help though!
actually, that offer is good for passholders any day.... heres more info. http://www.kicentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=13996
It has nothing to do with the KIC event. And it is shown on the KI homepage, and the info is here.
Ah ok. I had looked at the KI webpage and didn't see it, and when I looked at KIC it was only mentioned (or possibly that's all I saw) as part of their event.
That is a good deal. It'll be interesting to see if it lasts.

i say its very doubtful, if you read that link on kicentral i posted, you will see many, many problems... people are using it and getting other people drinks and the enforcement of actually being a park pass member to recieve this deal is iffy at best... i really like it, but i have a feeling that it will not be around forever...
^ the best way to get around those problems is to raise the admission $3.00 across the board and give free drinks to everyone. It'll get more people thriugh the gate on a daily basis and probably half won't use it anyway.
While I have never heard of these wristbands, they do have refillable souvienier cups. They are a bit small, and they cost around $4. You can get $.99 refills of soda. Water refills are free. We tryed it and it worked out pretty well. With all of the refills we got, we would have been paying a lot more if we bought a new soda everytime.
