Uniform Question

I'm going to be a ride host, and I'm 6'5" and rather skinny, will they have multiple sizes of uniforms? I think the belt will help, but I'm not sure :)

Oh trust me they have like every size. I mean, the XS runs big on me, but I'm a girl and they're men sizes so you should be just fine lol.

The pants are by waistline ( i think at least). They have really tiny sizes to really big sizes lol. If not, they'll make you pair of shorts/pants :)

Do you need to wear company provided shorts? Or would it be okay if I got a nice pair of Khaki shorts from H&M or something? I'm fine either way, jw.

Only company provided uniforms.

Ride hosts don't wear khaki's, only ride prides. And y ou have to wear the company provided uniform.

What about jackets? I had someone from Corkscrew Crew ask about North Face Jackets.

One of my good friends is 6'5" and worked in rides for the past two years, he had no problems with the shorts lol.

At least when I was there, there was a company windsuit, lovingly dubbed "smurf suit" that you could purchase and wear. I actually really miss mine, it ripped 2 years ago on me.

Late in the season some college, usually frats and sororities will come in and work for the park to benefit their group. The ones assigned to rides are called "ride prides"

They aren't allowed to work critical positions like controls or load, they're sent to positions like entrance or crowd control.

Ours could work load and unload.. lol

Pretty much they can't push buttons. With the exception of the dispatch enables (might depend on the ride). But they are allowed to do basic rides which only involve a "Go" and "Stop" button. Like kiddie rides and Carousel.

Really? In 04 they were basically banned from platforms on coasters. No controls, no checking harnesses. For example at DD/Carousel they could work the carousel, entrance, and crowd, but not load, unload, or controls. Maybe the park needs to bring back that $1/hour bonus to keep ride ops around longer.

About jackets, to my knowledge we can wear any Cedar Point gear. For the most park. They just don't want you wearing like a maverick hoodie at gemini. Also, I've worn basic jackets with no logos before but I would normally wear something like that under the blue suit jacket.

I had this fleece I got from Target that had no logos and they let me wear it in 2011.. I couldnt find it again in 2012 though lol.
