Ride operators hate those charges, too. Working WildCat unload on a dry day you an get some really painful static shocks.

I have learned to, in the winter time, hold my keys in hand and touch doorknobs with my key instead of with my finger. Perhaps something similar would work for Wildcat crews...get a small conductive band, say a small keyring, that will fit snugly around the index finger, and be sure to touch that to the car first. You still get the shock, but the spark jumps from the car to the ring and conducts directly through the body instead of jumping from the car to the fingertip. And if that happens, you will hear it, but not feel it.
