Uncomfortable with CP Policy

Violations...to the following may be cause for disciplinary warning:

17. Dressing, grooming, or behavior by an employee, at any time while on company property, that is not gender appropriate.

Disciplinary warning procedures [include] ...a counseling statement..., ...a written warning..., [and]...disciplinary action not excluding suspension without pay and/or termination.

I find that rather scary. Exactly WHO decides what is 'gender appropriate,' and what is not?

Will a male employee be reprimanded for sewing?

Can two people of the same sex kiss or hold hands?

What about female employee that wears a t-shirt marketed for men?

I don't remember seeing this last year, and I personally am uncomfortable with the policy. I could understand "while on the clock," but it's the "at any time" that I don't like.

yikes, why don't they just say "dress in drag and you're canned."

As for 2 gay ppl holding hands, that's a lawsuit waiting to happen...so i doubt it means that. It would have to be worded something like "any shows of affection between 2 people on company property."

I'd assume it's one of those un-enforced rules that they could always resort back to so they could get rid of someone that's not working out. Kinda like the getting wrote up for changing the phone in your room.

CedarPoint is super gay-friendly... don't read too much into it.

I don't know if this is a policy new to this year, but last year employees hetero and homosexual alike were free to show affection for each other in the break areas...out on the midways in workers' clothing or while working the rides it is not allowed.

Will Foamy become the next Strong Bad? I guess we will find out...

Caution: Foamy isn't quite as "PC" as Strong Bad.

ugh, they should change the break area thing. I was disgusted a few times last year while trying to eat lunch.

Don't worry about the rules, they're just covering themselves if someone tries to dress in extreme drag, I would guess. I did see some "situations" that pushed the envelope a bit in my opinion, but nothing changed. Quite leniant.

Let's all not forget CP is private property, that is KEY.

That's how it should be, but I wouldn't mind if they banned it (for both hetero and homo) just cuz people making out should get a room. But that doesn't seem to be a rampant problem anyhow, right?

"And I'm not just talking about the FOOD!"

Watch it.
