No, IE 5 doesn't have an "image" button. (hopefully we are on the same track) The image button is for speed surfers that wish for the browser only to load text and omit images. Since images can account for a major part of loading time and aren't always necessary, skipping them can reduce load time significantly. You have to dig deep within IE 5 if you wish for the images not to load. I apologize to Jeff and all for getting off topic.

Well, actually, it does have an "image" button. Click Tools - Internet Options, go to the advanced tab and uncheck "Show Images." That's hardly "digging deep."

It's still deeper than having the "Image" button on the main menu bar. Similar to the "Stop", "Back", and "Reload" buttons are on both IE and Netscape. IE doesn't have a "button" but rather a check box that is internally configured, how deep it actually is can be debated. I personally prefer Netscape over IE any day. Netsape's mail isn't prone to the viruses (I.E. Melissa) that Outlook is. IE's core is a mess with several security holes, typical Microsoft product. True, Netsape isn't perfect, but its upcoming "gecko" core, supporting all HTML, CSS, and Java standards, will leave IE far behind.

I doubt it. The whole Mozilla project has become a joke since Netscape was purchased by AOL. I just read something on Builder.com that seemed to indicate AOL wants to take their browser even more proprietary. I can't stand to look at this site in Navigator because there's almost no rhyme or reason to its implementation of style sheets. That means to do it right I'd have to code every page with less efficient font tags to make things look as I want.
I don't use Outlook for e-mail and could care less about it becaue it's not displaying my Web sites. IE has had security holes and every one patched within a day. Netscape's patches have come in so many browser versions that it's impossible to test them all. IE still renders tables faster in every benchmark I've seen, and it is already compliant to CSS and JavaScript DOM standards... you can't fall behind when you're already at the destination.
Web browers are not a religion, but I can tell you as a professional developer that Netscape needs a serious reality check and stronger compliance to published standards.

I initially responded to a message posted by "Jmstuckman" answering a question that you didn't seem to understand. I wasn't intending to get into a browser war. If you wish to carry on this discussion elsewhere, please E-mail me.

Can someone please answer my question, I have both IE 5.0 and netscape and i still have to scroll left to right on this site, what can I do to fix that, if there is anything?

Try changing your screen resolution. Under Windows click "start" - "settings" - "control panel" then click the "display" icon and click the "settings" tab. Drag the slider in the "screen area" box to "800 by 600" and click OK. You may need to restart your computer. If that doesn't solve your problem you can try a larger "screen area" like "1024 by 768"
if that still doesn't solve your problem let us know, I'm sure someone might be able to think of something else.

Dunno tohot2se...
As far as Mozilla goes, it's faster than IE5.0's rendering of just about anything, and it's still pre-beta. (Milestone 12)
Don't dismiss it too early, Jeff, it's moving along better than you'd think. AOL has surprisingly little to do w/ it.
Mine works A ok now Jeff..what ever changes you made to your formatting done the trick!!

You do that in Netscape too, but then netscape puts an "images" button on the toolbar that shows ALL the images on the page just in case you run into a page that uses images to navigate. In IE, you have to right-click on every single image on the page and hit "show image", as opposed to netscape's one click.
Thanks for the info guys, I know about changing the resolution, I have windows 98" and for some reason it wont let me change it, I had no problems doing this when i had 95" version. I have had people look at the computer and also called windows themselves and for some reason no one can figure out why I cant change it. Some say its a flaw in the new Windows program. Its stuck on 640X480 and the slide bar wont budge!!
