Two Questions About Dorms

1) In the Commons Dorms, how big exactly are the lockers they provide? Are they tall (like people-sized) or small like little safes? How many things are you able to fit in a locker?

2) I know some people on here have said that the Gold Dorms have a bug problem (spiders, mayflies, etc) How bad is this problem? Is there just the occasional bug passing by or are they in the rooms on consistent basis? (Not to sound strange, but I really am not too found of insects!) Thanks anyone who can offer any insights!

The lockers in the Commons dorms are a good size I would say. It's more like apox. 6ft tall locker and 2ft wide. It has a area where you can hang up clothes, a little shelf up top with an open area and one next to it where you can put a lock on it. There is a space in the bottom part of the locker to place your shoes or what not.....Gold, there are some spiders there just like any other building, room, or apt. Cedar's (the guys dorm) is the only one i saw a huge spider in. The mayflies are everywhere!! There's know way of trying to get away from them. Their just outside, unless someone happens to live the door open.

The best way to describe the lockers in commons is to think of your locker in Highschool, assuming all school used the same size lockers, or if they had lockers at all. Basically a school size locker and double width.

I knew a girl two summers ago who lived in Gold dorms and had been bit by spiders in her room! FYI:)

I didn't have any problems with spiders. Just make sure that you keep your door closed, and if there are holes in your screen, put some duct tape over them. (or do like we did, we just brought an air conditioner and our windows were closed all summer.)

I hate those mayflies! Sometimes there's so many they cover the walls at the park and the walls look black. Yuck! But the dorms were fine.
