Edit: Just remembered two more questions I had.
1. On the application, it asks if you have specific dates that you need off during the summer for whatever reason. Is there a threshold for the amount of dates they're willing to give you off before they reject your application, or are they flexible about it at all?
2. Does CP not have the job descriptions on their website anymore? They used to have pretty thorough descriptions, since there are, after all, jobs that aren't just Ride Hosts and Sweeps.
3. Are there any sort of fitness facilities available to employees, and if so, what are they like?
4. What is the food in the employee cafeteria like, how much is it typically, and what would be the best restaurant to compare it to?
1) It kind of just depends on the reason, really. I haven't heard of a threshold for amount of time off, but there still could be one. It IS summer time and people DO take family vacations and they understand that, but if it's something like "I just don't wanna work" then that's a different story. If it's just a single event or something that you're going to, just talk to your TL so they don't schedule you on the day you need off. If you need two days off, you can always take a Sunday and Monday off because those are considered part of two different weeks. Those are both considered your "one day off a week."
2) Do you have questions about different jobs? Here is the place to ask :)
2012: Gemini/Mean Streak
2013: Co-Team Leader of Gemini/Maverick on Halloweekends Fridays
2014: Ride Supervisor of Thunder Canyon/Skyride/GateKeeper on Halloweekends Fridays
2015: Ride Supervisor of Rougarou
The GYM thread answered the questions I had about fitness, and I think the Employee Cafeteria question was also answered in another thread, but I'm still curious about job descriptions because I'm honestly not sure what jobs I want to select as my preference.
I figure everyone and their Mom applies for the Ride Host position so I was trying to see what else I would like, which would've been slightly easier if they'd kept the job descriptions online, but beggars can't be choosers. Still kind of curious what the very ambiguous "990: General Services" is.
