Pity the scan of the Cedar Point ride does not show the front of the ride tub.
The ones I have seen (Indiana Beach and Lakemont Park) were both Chance, and the front of the car has a Chance emblem (not a Chance logo, but a CM monogram) on it. The Allan Herschell cars don't appear to have the emblem. The rides would be pretty much the same, as Chance bought the Allan Herschell Company; in fact, it runs in my mind that the creation of Chance Manufacturing was, in fact the merger of two other companies, one of which was the Allan Herschell company.
