Turning down offer?

I have an offer to work waiting for me on job net. Some things have come up unexpectedly that make it very difficult to decide if I should take the job. So my question is this, if I reject the offer could I be blacklisted? Will it hurt my chances for working next year or maybe improve them because I passed the interview process previously?

Contact your hiring manager. Turning it down now is much less likely to blacklist you than simply not showing up.

I wouldn't not show up! I really want to work there, I just want to know will it be my only chance I I don't take it now?

In 2010 I accepted my job offer and wasn't able to return last minute. I just emailed my manager and let them know the circumstances and I was not black listed. :-)
