Spur of the moment trips always seem to be my favorite trips, this one would turn out to be no different. My youngest, Samantha and her friend Katie happily joined me. It would be an extra fun day for Sam and I since Katie was a CP virgin and did not like roller coasters! I debated several times wearing one of my Talon shirts to spite some PR people but opted not to ;) Leaving Delaware beautiful blue skies, once we hit Bucyrus all Hell broke loose. It was typhoon weather! We kept seeing lightning, torrential downpours, roads flooded out and I was so pissed at myself for forgetting my employee raingear! I did notice the sky seemed bluer the more north we went, and wow-what a beautiful day it turned out to be! Good for us, we left those storms back in Bucyrus and they stayed away from CP :)
High Points: Getting to watch Katie’s face on the rides. Of course the 1st stop for us? Gotta be Raptor! :) Row 8 (gasp) and she screamed the WHOLE ride but really seemed to like it. We rode it again right after and then off to the park at our leisure. We had decided to stick together till after lunch where we could go off and do our own stuff. DT and WT was next, again screams were a plenty from Katie. Got a Raptor freeway for 3-4, off to the other side of the park. No Thrill Dragster....cough cough, which actually was quite fine with Katie, and Sam seemed to enjoy saying SEVERAL times to SEVERAL different people she had already rode it, in the front seat! We eventually worked our way back to the front for lunch and then we separated. I decided to do my Raptor freeway ;) and stayed at Raptor till after 3. I finally remembered my 35mm (unlike at Dorney-doh!) and walked around the park in an attempt to get that one picture I haven’t taken a gazillion times in the past 6 years. I decided to play around with my telephoto so stayed at Raptor and just took tons of pics of it. I heard it was a good thing I wasn’t riding Raptor because I do believe some people were attempting to find me AT Raptor at that time so lucky for me I wasn’t there!! he he ;)
Finally time to meet up with one of my groupies, Matt (Skykicker) and Johnnie-eh, I mean Dave (DodgeEmDave) at 4 and we headed to the PR office so I could be harassed there for the entire length of our visit. I have to admit the restroom "things" were pretty classic and I am sure Matt will agree!! :) Also giving one of them the Talon pin I bought him was pretty funny too! :) After getting tired of the harassing, we eventually met up with Matt (Hooper) my PIC and then the fun really began!! OMG here we went again just cracking each other up again for the entire duration of the rest of the evening. I know the DT wait was absolutely one of those that we will talk about for YEARS!! Hooper had us all in stitches!! :) Our evening ended with a couple more Raptor flights, Maggie run (where Matt O told me to shut the **** up!! ;)) and ending our great time on WT.
Just hanging with my kid and Katie was great, then to hang with my CP buds was great. It was another one of those classic and wonderful visits I had a great time and by the sounds of Sam and Katie’s snores the WHOLE way home, they had a great time too! Katie’s favorite ride was BS-the scariest to her was Raptor.
Low Points: Again it appears the fashion police had the day off. EWWW! I guess when you really shouldn’t be exposing your stomach to begin with the thing to do is also get your belly button pierced too?? :( The biggest low point was again listening to more than my share of people *****ing about TTD. I can understand some people being very disappointed but it’s not like CP doesn’t have a ton of other rides to ride! I know for some of us who have ridden it already it might be an easy thing to say but I seem to recall a couple of trips in 2000 where SOB wasn’t up, and 1 trip in ‘01 where Phantoms Revenge wasn’t up. Was I disappointed? Yes! Did I scream and stomp my feet and bad mouth the parks? NO! For every TTD whiner there is 200 other people who still leave the park totally happy and content. I don’t know, maybe CP means more to me than just TTD. OK-enough flaming, sorry about that!
Things learned on this trip:
What the definitions of ditch and dodge are, and their differences. Do NOT take No Doz and drink a Red Bull for drive home. I have GOT to leave my cash and bank card HOME for once again I spent like 200.00 on CP stuff! WTH?

Funniest thing seen all day:
The hot dog hat!! We ALMOST all bought one just to take a picture together but then decided we didn’t want to look like a bunch of wieners!! he he ;)

Thanks to Sam, Katie, Matt, Dave and of course my PIC Matt for yet another awesome trip! You guys all rock and I luv ya all! :) A person could not ask for better groupies! ;) Can’t wait for the next! :)

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that? :)
Me and a certin PR guy went to Raptor around 2:45 looking for you and did not see you. We were going to harass you about Talon. I even went back to Raptor two more times and even rode Raptor once and had no luck finding you. I was told that you were two trains ahead of me. Maybe we can catch up next time.

Another classic venture with you guys. Almost as good opening day. I was still laughing about it the next day. Jo, Matt, Dave great seeing you all again and I look forward to our next visit.
